I am saddened and don’t know why you have an ire against the British.
Most British people like America and Americans, and I am one. I have visited your country, even briefly worked there, and loved it. Americans are kind and generous people, embarrassingly so. And many parts of the US are stunningly beautiful.
I hope you visit the UK some time and would welcome you here and would be happy to give advice on any visit.
Got it out of your system yet? I never said I have an “ire against the British”. I do have an ire against them constantly harking back to their supposed glory days of WW1 and WW2. You won’t like this, but a US combat vet of the Battle of the Bulge told me the British “didn’t know there was a war on”. His words. He’s dead now, so you don’t have to make multiple posts to him. I see PBS is showing a British show titled “Escape from Nazi Alcatraz”, about Colditz. I do not plan to watch it, but the title is off-putting enough for me.
