The Democracy Alliance, a top-secret collective of ultra-rich left-wing political donors, has a new member Randi Weingarten, who heads the labor union that represented Douglas County teachers until two years ago when the district went union-free.
...
Weingarten is president of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT), an arm of the AFL-CIO whose affiliates include the Douglas County Federation.

Ben DeGrow, Independence Institute senior education policy analyst, said Weingartens joining the Democracy Alliance shows that the union is using dues collected from teachers to pursue an extreme political agenda.

Unlike other school districts, Douglas County no longer funnels dues from teacher paychecks to the union. Teachers may still pay dues directly to the union, a system that typically results in much lower rates of labor membership.
Founded by billionaire Democratic donor George Soros, the Democracy Alliance requires its members to pay $30,000 and contribute at least $200,000 per year to its hand-picked advocacy groups, including the Center for American Progress, Media Matters for America, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, and Priorities USA, a Democratic Party super PAC, according to reports in the Free Beacon and other publications.

Leftists reward failure.
I have a friend on the Douglas county school board and am thinking of running myself. It is controlled by a solidly conservative majority, though the liberals who lost are trying to tie everything up in lawsuits and nuisance procedings. The school board should stay in conservative hands as this is a solidly conservative county. Thats why the teachers union is out in the first place.
Weingarten - ugly commie butch....
Unfortunately that description covers many teachers today...
Why all the secrecy? If you love democracy so much, everything should be out in the open, right?
Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)
The Teachers Unions have been Communist influenced and controlled since at least back in the 40’s. I had college profs back in the 50’s in Illinois who were openly supportive of brother Marx and his precepts. Sadly, most of the union members haven’t a clue as to where they have been taken. When they do wake up it is too late as they have become part of the problem and not the solution.
