Where’s Louie Gohmert? He’d be great on this committee.

I don’t know. Perhaps there is a protocol that has to be followed in picking the members of this committee.

At least six of these are rock solid conservatives.

I don’t know much about Susan Brooks. She easily won her last election (2012), but her district is solidly republican (Indianapolis suburbs). Wikipedia says she voted to end the government shutdown last October.

It’s nice to hear that democrats are having to change their Depends more often now.

I predict that the administration will concoct a big “crisis” to get peoples’ minds off the forthcoming revelations about Benghazi.

It looks to me like a committee with a majority of heavy-hitting conservatives!

I can personally speak for Pete Roskam. Why? Because he's from the suburban Chicago district I lived in when I was in elected county office. Rock solid conservative district. The late great Rep. Henry Hyde, godfather of the Right-to-Life movement in Congress, was Roskam's predecessor. He'll be great.

This is a committee to make the Left tremble with fear and rage.

To the Dems I say, "LET THE GAMES BEGIN, LOSERS!"

The creation of this select committee has Pelosi and some other Dems squealing like the hogs that got hit with rocks thrown over the fence.

That makes people wonder why.

The question remains: “Will anything of substance, will true and lasting justice be served, come out of this?”

Looks like it might be a good group.

I'm cautiously hopeful.

I've noticed that during the news breaks on my local station airing Limbaugh that they're accompanying this story with sound clips from Nancy Pelosi, not Trey Gowdy or John Boehner. Pelosi is now citing two victim families asking to let it lie.

No quotes from Boehner or Gowdy on the importance of this to Congressional oversight and protecting Americans from future government negligence.

Liberal bias?

Chaffetz and Gohmert may be working behind the scene with planning and organizing the evidence. They may also be brought in to question specific witnesses.

They may asked to function as chief of staff and legal advisors to the Republican side. Those roles may be as important as those of the GOP members, aside from Gowdy.

If he does this with the same skill in which he has conducted our affairs sense becoming speaker, they are sure to ‘find’ that nothing even happened, and they don’t know what happen to the ambassador. Must have ‘gotten lost on a hiking trip’

7 Rs and 5 Ds means only one R needs to flip to hang everything up. If you’re Hillary, you’re looking at that list and trying to determine who you have stuff on, who will deal with you.

Bi-partisan? Bah! Every time I hear that word, I reach for my hand-held vice wrench and squeeze something (adapted from Al Ginsberg quote).

“Boehner Names Members for Benghazi Select Committee”

Is he just naming them or is he selecting them. If he
selected them then I can assume the fix is in and the
investigation will be as big a dead end as the 911 commission
was.
