Nintendo isnt allowing gamers to play as gay in an upcoming life simulator game.
The publisher of such gaming franchises as The Legend of Zelda and Mario Bros. said Tuesday it wouldnt bow to pressure to allow players to engage in romantic activities with characters of the same sex in English editions of Tomodachi Life. This follows a social media campaign launched by fans last month seeking virtual equality for the games characters, which are modeled after real people.
Nintendo never intended to make any form of social commentary with the launch of Tomodachi Life, Nintendo of America Inc. said in a statement. The relationship options in the game represent a playful alternate world rather than a real-life simulation. We hope that all of our fans will see that Tomodachi Life was intended to be a whimsical and quirky game, and that we were absolutely not trying to provide social commentary.
Tye Marini, a gay 23-year-old Nintendo fan from Mesa, Arizona, launched the campaign last month, urging Kyoto, Japan-based Nintendo Co. and its subsidiary Nintendo of America Inc. to add same-sex relationship options to English versions of the hand-held Nintendo 3DS game.

Of course, he also has his own Facebook page, which includes a video he says was posted on YouTube but was removed (I wonder why.). If someone could get a screenshot of his face posted it would be appreciated.
This idiot needs to be shut down. Today.

They’ll be boycotted and pressured. Count on it.
Dana Loesch spoke about this today. She said Marini did not suggest a boycott. But if he ever does, you can bet she will be out on the frontlines to blow that away.
Its a game for EIGHT YEAR OLDS..the homo left truly are depraved pieces of garbage..but not surprising, gays think that the way to get to young boys is through video games, just like they were able to get into the Boy Scouts
Now they’ll have to divest the basketball game.
Why don’t they try to get Nintendo to make a gay-themed game? Oh... that’s right... hardly anybody would buy it.
Entertainment industry needs to add a warning for LBGT so people can avoid such things if they choose too. But they will not because they know what will happen.
This is hilarious. The left has spent decades depreciating American prestige and respect abroad and now are confused to find other nations won’t kowtow to American yammering and mau-mauing on about leftist values.
The problem is, if you elect for your character to be gay you just sit around all the time playing video games. . . oh wait.
The other thing that happens is you get AIDS and die before you can finish the game in addition to wasting all of your time worrying about stupid stuff.
One correction.....they are HOMOSEXUALS.
One correction.....they are HOMOSEXUALS.
Indeed. I would never use the word “g-y” to describe a homosexual.
yeah but I like calling them homos, or fruits, or whackos
I love Nintendo due to the its family theme games which is not violent but enjoyable to play. The only mature game I remember playing is 007 Golden Eye (I love that game) and Resident Evil but not nothing hardcore. The company has always make games a family fun and enjoyable that is why I love that company. Being female, you don’t hear me screaming why there is no enough females in Golden Eye. I play because it is a stress reliever and just plain fun you forget about the real world. Looks like the liberal gay dude is going thru a fit why no gays in the games. Perhaps he should start his own game company.
What is the Japanese view on homosexuality?
When it comes to sexuality, the Japanese are possibly the most peculiar people on Earth.
It’s just a video game.
If they wanted it to be perverted, the Japanese are experts.
That is why they dominate the WTF category on Reddit. And then there’s the “Oh Japan” images, like the subculture that mimics white people with blonde hair or the ones who dress up like the Victorian times.
