Nabil Sha'ath, a senior official in the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), and a close confidant of Palestinian Authority (PA) Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, says the PA wants to renew peace talks.
Speaking on Thursday at a conference of the far-left Meretz party in Tel Aviv, Sha'ath claimed "we are interested in renewing the talks."
Sha'ath clarified "there are topics that are open for negotiations, and they are the core issues, while on the other hand there are topics that are not up for negotiations: the Palestinians' right of self-definition in the 1967 borders, and the right of unity in the Palestinian nation."
In his statement, Sha'ath demands the 1949 Armistice line as a non-negotiable border, ostensibly allowing the talks only to determine what beyond Judea, Samaria and Jerusalem the PA can get from Israel.

Remarkable chutzpa, though.
Amazing gall. Kill hundreds of Israeli civilians, threaten to annihilate them all, reject every peace ever offered you, publicly admit that you won’t honor any treaty you might ever sigh, destroy the latest peace talks, and now you say you want to start talking again — but you add ridiculous demands you know can’t be accepted. What’s the point, guy? You’re a no- goodnik all around. Go straight to hell and collect your 72 Virgins reward from your Allah ( who rules there). We don’t give a sh@t what you want anymore. Is that clear enough ?
As Welfare moochers the PA is worried Abbas can’t continue to line his Swiss account with the aid money that never reaches his pathetic squatters.
If they had made peace with Israel instead of using the billion of USD , EUROS and Arab oil countries of aid to attack Israel and steal money for the PA and Hamas bosses maybe they would have an economy.
As it is they owe money to Israel for their electric and water bill, and compared to Israelis who work hard they have fallen behind how Israeli Arabs live year after year.
Is it any wonder why Israeli Arabs in every poll say they wish to remain Israeli citizens, than live under Hamas.
"...there are topics that are open for negotiations, and they are the core issues, while on the other hand there are topics that are not up for negotiations: the Palestinians' right of self-definition in the 1967 borders, and the right of unity in the Palestinian nation."There are topics that are core issues and not up for negotiations -- that Israel is a Jewish state, that the United Nations assigned the entire territory west of the Dead Sea and River Jordan to the Jewish state, and that the ethnically undifferentiated Arabs who bailed out when the attacking Arab states told them to in 1948 gave up any and all right to return, both for themselves and for their descendants.
The UN’s only contribution was to attempt to partition that land, originally granted by League of Nations charter, into three non-contiguous fragments, and under that partition plan agree to a non-binding resolution to recognize the state. War shaped the actual map, and it’s time to accept the results of the 1967 war as a fait accompli and move on.
