Lucy Flores is the new shining light for the Democratic Party in Nevada State. Can this former gang member be the new face of the Dems in a state to go totally Republican due to Harry Reid’s dubious ways?

Flores is from the seedy streets of Las Vegas in a predominately Hispanic neighborhood that shadows the infamous Las Vegas Strip. She had dropped out of high school by the age of 17, been arrested for driving a stolen car on a beer run, put into juvenile detention, ran with a noted gang in the region and had an abortion in her young years as well.

Flores’s miss-spent youth found a new leaf on life when she decided to turn it all around and head off to college. Attending law school and eventually finding her way to an elected public office, Lucy Flores is about to be a household name in the Nevada Territory.

Flores is running for Lieutenant Governor of Nevada, part of one of the most interesting races by someone you most likely never heard of. This year’s race has National implications that could easily reverberate into the 2016 Presidential Election. Nevada’s Republican Governor Brian Sandoval is his party’s best shot at beating out Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on his re-election attempt after lengthy scandals and untrust through his constituents.

Sandoval is cruising into what appears to be a second-term victory this fall. Unlikely to be unseated by no one else other than another Republican, Lucy Flores is in a heated race to prove them all wrong.

34 year old Las Vegas attorney Lucy Flores does look like most politicians, she’s a woman, Hispanic, she’s got that none Alaska-Barbie look, but still a babe and she is head strong in taking on the biggest and the best.

This past week Flores officially announced that she is running for the State of Nevada’s number two executive seat. Even Harry Reid spoke out on the fact that she is “the perfect candidate”, after Flores hired his 2010 campaign manager. This past March, Flores headlined an upper crust, $5,000 a head, Palo Alto fundraiser.

Despite her praise in Washington, Flores is a heavy long-shot. Apart from the rags-to-riches pitch that you’d expect from such a storybook life, both GOP candidates have shown they will easily best Flores in a recent poll. None the less, the Democrats love this lady and they line up behind her to hold onto the Nevada seat that is about to change the game plan for 2016.

Democratic Legislator: I Don’t Regret Killing My Baby in Abortion

Assemblywoman Lucy Flores, a Democrat from Las Vegas, makes the false assumption that being a teen mother is incompatible with completing ones education or a successful career and gives that as the reason why she had an abortion and has no regrets about it.

“I had six other sisters, all of them became pregnant in their teens – all of them,” Flores said. “One was 14 years old when she got pregnant with twins. That is what I had to learn from.”

“I don’t regret it,” Flores said. “I don’t regret it because I am here (at the Legislature), making a difference, at least in my mind, for the young ladies and letting them know their options. They can do things not to be in the situation I was in, to prevent it.
