Hillary Clinton told an audience of mental health professionals on Tuesday that the United States needs to rein in its gun culture or risk a world where insignificant disagreements could lead to shootings.
Asked about the mental health aspects of guns, Clinton said "I think we've got to rein in what has become a almost article faith that anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime. I don't believe that is in the best interest of the vast majority of people."
"We really have got to get our arms around it because at the rate we are going, we are going to have so many people with guns everywhere fully licensed, fully validated," Clinton said, painting a picture of a country where small annoyances could lead to shootings.
Clinton, whose comments came during the question and answer portion at the end of her appearance, said because "we are living at a time when there is so much external stimulation and some much internal confusion in certain people," it would be a bad idea to let people "go to bars with guns, let them go to schools with guns, let them go to church with guns."
Referencing a shooting earlier this year where a 71-year old retired police officer shot a 43-year old man texting in a movie theater, Clinton said people thinking they "have the right to defend themselves against the gum chewer and the cell phone user by shooting the person" is reminiscent of countries she visited "with no rule of law and self control."

3. Look for her to come out really bigtime for the climate change and against Keystone Pipeline etc.
4. Look for her to weigh in strongly for abortion.
5. Look for her to weigh in strongly for some tweeeking of Obamacare.
6. And when she is in the hot pursuit of the nomination look for her to declare that she’s gay.
The objective is to get the nomination, then she posts to the right.
I would much prefer to ‘rein in’ Democrats.

They will try and screw with the constitution. That is one way. Not sure they need it. There is already precedence for gun regulation in this country. They can regulate it to death, tax it and find backdoor ways to get much of what they want
I fully expect Hillary to push for Australia style “turn in your guns” campaign - with or without a change in the Constitution. If they can force you to buy insurance they can find back-door ways to incent many to turn in their guns. Not us obviously but many in the middle. Once they have a decisive majority of people conditioned to hate guns then they can go further. Commies are patient.

Leftists don't hate guns any more than they hate wealth. They just want to make sure that they monopoly on both once they're in power. You don't see liberal anti-gun activists looking to disarm goon Federal Agents (or even their private security details) any time soon.

To an aspiring tyrant, it is a bad thing. There’s nothing worse for them than the knowledge they might very well end up hanging by their cankles like Mussolini if they blow it and get exposed.
