Dear Louisiana Pro-Life Supporter,
Tomorrow, May 7th, our 2014 top-priority legislation, the Unsafe Abortion Protection Act (HB 388), will be heard in the Senate Health & Welfare Committee.
It is not too late to ask your Senator to support this common-sense piece of legislation!
Authored by Rep. Katrina Jackson (D-Monroe), HB 388, will protect women by ensuring that abortionists have admitting privileges at a local hospital, that informed consent protections apply to all abortions, and that facilities that perform more than five abortions maintain proper licensing.
Also, please consider joining us tomorrow for the Senate Committee hearing on HB 388 at the State Capitol. Please arrive at 8:45 A.M. The committee hearing will last from 9 to 12 P.M., and the bill will be heard in this time frame.
Visit www.ProtectLaWomen.com or scroll down below to send a message to your today. For live updates tomorrow follow us on social media at www.Facebook.com/LouisianaRightoLife and on Twitter @LARightToLife.
We will be using hashtag: #StandWithKatrina
For a Pro-life Louisiana,
Benjamin Clapper
Executive Director
P.S.: Thursday, May 8th, is "Planned Parenthood Day at the Capitol". Planned Parenthood wants to stop HB 388 because they want to sell more abortion. We cannot let this stand in the way of the health and safety of Louisiana women. Make sure you contact your Senator today and ask him/her to vote YES to HB 388.
House Bill 388 cruised through the Louisiana House, and I imagine it will cruise through the Louisiana Senate and be signed by Governor Jindal.
This is the law that put Wendy Davis into the news.
Getting Wendy Davis into the news and as candidate for Governor is a double victory for PRO-LIFERS.
Why?
Wendy Davis' campaign is CRASHING AND BURNING BIG TIME. It is also a blackhole for Democratic campaign money that is going to be flushed down the toilet...
Oklahoma Senate Bill 1848
Seems like there should some sort of FreeRepublic article on this...
Louisiana might beat Oklahoma in getting the Louisiana bill passed and signed before Oklahoma...
Louisiana Legislature: House Bill 388: Unsafe Abortion Act: Progress in Legislature
[7-May-2014]Anti-Abortion Bill Advances
The article claims 20 abortion clinics in Texas have been closed by similar legislation and that 3 out of 5 in Louisiana would be closed by this legislation...
The bill is now ready for debate in the Louisiana Senator before having a vote on the bill.
Bill has been read the third time in Senate. Ready for final passage... Vote may occur today — May 13, 2014...
