Oh, I forgot! Establishment senators like Tillis would be have a GREAT record of stopping liberals! I mean, just look at how they destroyed him by defunding Obamacare. Just look at how great they managed our debt under the Bush administration!
You truly know your stuff. I was wrong. We need 51 John McCains.
To: Viennacon; Sarah Barracuda; entropy12; JLAGRAYFOX
This was a disastrous result and the Freepers applauding, I hope they enjoy senators who think Obamacare is a good idea. Delusional.
Yup, these will be the same idiots telling us once again how we have to vote for the latest "Lessor of two evils" GOP-E obamanation POTUS candidate that has lied, and cheated his way into the nomination. And then when that same progressive GOP Candidate (See Mitt Romney) inevitably loses, it will be this same group of losers blaming conservatives for the loss, even though the candidate will probably support abortion, the gay agenda, and probably won't be limited conservative either (Once again, see Mitt Romney).

And this is why Jeb Bush will win the primary nomination in 2016
To: Viennacon
So who you voting for next chance you get?
I'm asking honestly...because I'm always torn. Did I want an Obama or a Romney? I know Romney is a RINO....
But you know what....this time around...if the GOP runs someone for POTUS like Jeb Bush or Christy...I will NOT vote.

It’s hard to understand how many times these people have to see establishment candidates like Romney lose before they get the message. To be clear, Jeb endorsed Tillis. Mike Lee endorsed Brannon.
To: bert; Viennacon
screw you. you are the problem with conservatives.
Too bad for you, Jesus Christ was not and never will be the sinless pure conservative candidate your selfrighteousness demands
I see all the usual pretend conservatives on FreeRepublic have shown up.
Predictable.

I’m with you 100%. I won’t vote for Jeb Bush. And I know the RINOs hate that. Oh well
To: Viennacon
My rule of thumb is simple. I always vote for the most conservative candidate in the race.
In the primary, that was Brannon.
In the general, that is clearly Tillis.
I can’t imagine doing anything other than voting for the most conservative candidate in every election in which I participate.

They know it.
Their support of these back-stabbing pretend conservatives and their continual support for lowering the bar where conservatism is concerned in our candidates is one of the real reasons we lose and when we win, we're stuck with back-stabbing, Democrat-collaborating Progressive Trojan Horse candidates Like Mitt Romney, and now Thom Tillis.
The GOP-E might have won tonight, but Freedom, Liberty, and constitutional-based government lost.

So then you will vote for Jeb Bush if he wins the 2016 nomination
To: Viennacon
nah...... self righteous conservatives pushing their own narrow agendas will never agree on a conservative candidate with enough continuity to win
I watched the process for months....... right here on Free Republic.
That is precisely what allowed Mitt to be nominated

After the Romney debacle, I just can’t stomach this crap anymore.
To: Viennacon
Tillis is a POS. I hope Hagan beats him, that will wipe the smirk of the Fox RINOs faces. Romney is a POS. I hope Obama beats him, that will wipe the smirk of the Fox RINOs faces.
You could not have said it better. This is the problem with the Conservative movement. They believe that letting lunatic liberals win is a good thing.
To: Viennacon
The only question that I have is about Tillis’ position on amnesty. If he is for it, he is garbage. Does anyone know? Bob

What if the GOP candidate supports Abortion or Gay Marriage?
Do you consider yourself a Christian?
Where does your Christianity or your principles end and your politics take over?
Just where is the point in this political conversation do you take a stand for your principles?

Those wascally self-righteous conservatives. How dare they want a candidate who opposes abortion and obamacare and such. Damn purists!
