Hillary Rodham Clinton said Tuesday the nation’s gun culture has gotten “way out of balance” and the U.S. needs to rein in the notion that “anybody can have a gun, anywhere, anytime.”
The former Secretary of State and potential 2016 Democratic presidential candidate said the idea that anyone can have a gun is not in the “best interest of the vast majority of people.” But she said that approach does not conflict with the rights of people to own firearms. …

I don't know of anybody who has that "notion." There are plenty of laws resticting who can "have a gun". Convicted felons, those convicted of domestic violence, drug addicts and those with serious mental defects are all prohibited from "having a gun."

“She knows better. Shame on her. Shame on her,” Obama said, and then expressed some amusement at Hillary’s emergence as a tribune of the Second Amendment:
“She is running around talking about how this is an insult to sportsman, how she values the second amendment. She’s talking like she’s Annie Oakley,” Obama said, invoking the famed female sharpshooter immortalized in the musical “Anne Get Your Gun.”
Obama continued, saying “Hillary Clinton is out there like she’s on the duck blind every Sunday. She’s packing a six-shooter. Come on, she knows better. That’s some politics being played by Hillary Clinton.”
To be fair, the Leftists also think our “Free Speech Culture” and “Freedom of Religion” culture are way out of balance, with the individual still having way too much freedom.

“I’m sure that Sen. Clinton feels like she’s doing me a favor because she’s been deploying most of the arguments the Republican Party will be using against me in November and so it’s toughening me up. I’m getting run through the paces here,” Obama told The Associated Press’ annual meeting.
Clinton has been hitting Obama hard after he referred to some small-town Pennsylvanians as “bitter” people who “cling to guns and religion” at a fund-raiser last week.
On Sunday, Clinton called the comments “elitist, out of touch and frankly, patronizing,” and added, “You know, the Democratic Party, to be very blunt about it, has been viewed as a party that didn’t understand and respect the values and the way of life of so many of our fellow Americans.”
Clinton’s efforts over the weekend to appeal to Second Amendment supporters by hinting that she has some experience of her own pulling triggers. “I disagree with Sen. Obama’s assertion that people in our country cling to guns and have certain attitudes about trade and immigration simply out of frustration,” she began.
“You know, my dad took me out behind the cottage that my grandfather built on a little lake called Lake Winola outside of Scranton and taught me how to shoot when I was a little girl,” she said.
Asked Sunday when she last fired a gun or attended church services, Clinton said the query was “not a relevant question in this debate.”
With the national media present, Clinton drank a beer and chatted with voters. After ordering her beer, the bartender asked, “You want a shot with that Hillary?” After some deliberation, Clinton settled on a shot of Crown Royal, a Canadian whiskey.

I have a clarification question for Hillary...
Did you feel that way before or after Ms. Lewinski’s Boyfriend signed the AWB and at the same time also signed a waiver flooding the market with cheap Chinese made weapons?
She’s running against Senators Elizabeth “Fauxcahontas” Warren and Bernie “Avowed Socialist” Sanders, not the GOP or Tea Party candidate. The Democrats, believe it or not, don’t feel that Hillary is satisfactorily leftist enough.
Her and Bill have had hundreds killed, no not all by guns but dead is dead. I like the one were the fellow killed himself and the gun was in the other room.
If they really wanted to do it, that would be the route to take.
They could put the older military stuff on the civilian market, like they used to. That might free up some brass enough to help the price come down for government ammo purchases too.
Or -- they (the federal government) could just keep the ammo they have now, and instead of buying billions of rounds, delegate those millions of rounds that are slated for destruction to be used for training purposes. That could save money that could be better spent elsewhere -- like on wounded veterans.
Now, this last part is quite perplexing to me, having spent 22 years in the US Army as a combat artillery officer and being quite involved in ammunition management as a Brigade/Regimental operations officer, a Battalion Executive officer, and a Battalion Commander. We constantly received spreadsheets that were reconciled monthly for ammunition allocation and use. In the Army we have Division and Corps level Ammunition Officers whose sole mission is ammunition management, which is forecasted out and allocated yearly.Excess ammunition? We were begging for excess ammunition for training purposes. And I recall on several occasions when I was an Army exchange officer with the II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune working out some issues on ammunition transfer and training between XVIIIth Airborne Corps, Ft. Bragg. So what is this baloney?
Folks, this is why we need more men and women serving on Capitol Hill who have served in uniform and can raise the Bovine Excrement flag. It would also behoove these Members of the House and Senate who are on Armed Services committees to have staffers who are veterans and can provide proper insight and perspective.
