The whole Republican field in NC was second-tier at best. Thom Tillis is nothing great, but he’s acceptable. I think that Kay Hagan’s massive fundraising spooked several better candidates.

Nothing much happened in Indiana’s primaries. Locally, a county commissioner was defeated in the Republican primary, which was a surprise. The turnout was almost record low, which had something to do with it.

Tillis isn’t the strongest candidate that could have been chosen but he’s high second tier at the very WORST.

The others like Brannon, third tier or below (I don’t know how many tiers we should have).
