A Mexican battle with the French....Nothing to do with America. Even Mexicans up here don’t care much for it...it’s almost strictly a “white” thing.

It’s was a holiday created by beer advertising executive Carlos Alvarez of Gabrinas Importing, San Antonio to sell Corona to gringos.

It’s was a battle in Mexico. It’s not recognized by Mexico as anything.

But you are right, about zero meaning to Mexicans in Mexico.
