White tents line the sides of the valley where the landslide struck. Some villagers weep, others pray.
The remnants of their shattered community lies buried below, submerged under as much as 60 meters of mud.
In the space of one devastating week, natural disasters killed more people in Afghanistan than they did all last year.
At the heart of the destruction was the double landslide that engulfed a village in a remote northeastern province on Friday, killing more than 2,000 people.

Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord. Good for him. Good for them.
I think that the Christian is called to pray for their souls but also as a Christian, I believe that death is not the ultimate evil.
Awww my “Give a CRAP meter” is BROKEN
Thanks USN Vet. And thanks for your service.
I see enemies.
So did I. You read my mind.
Muzzles are the first to celebrate when something bad happens to Americans. I am just too exhausted from their hatred to try to feel anything for them.
It is the Will of Allah.

I see souls that need to be saved. Unfortunately, they would slaughter and eat any missionaries sent.
Again, G-d is not mocked.
Well, I have pity for them.
There are women and children and elderly men among the 2000 dead. There are probably Taliban, too, and I’m not as sorry about their loss, but it would have been good for them to have more of a chance to change the evil in their souls before the landslide hit them, but they are grown-ups and in God’s hands.
And those of us who despise the Taliban should be praying for them, like Jesus said about praying for your enemies. Don’t let their inhuman behavior dehumanize you.
aaawwwwwwwwwwwwwww
All those islamists....
soebarakah mourns
It is a tragedy and I celebrated by buying 6 boxes of 5.56 - 75gr HPBT. Just for, you know, unexpected guests.
