WHY is it that everybody is so eager to use military force? Americas cerebral president betrayed a rare flash of frustration on April 28th when dealing with a question in Asia about his countrys weakness. Barack Obama said his administration was making steady, if unspectacular, progress. By blundering into wars, his critics would only harm America.
Mr Obama was channelling the mood of his people, worn out by the blood and treasure squandered in Iraq and Afghanistan. A survey last autumn by the Pew Research Centre suggests that 52% want the United States to mind its own business internationally, the highest figure in five decades of polling. But when Americas president speaks of due caution, the world hears reluctanceespecially when it comes to the most basic issue for any superpower, its willingness to fight.
For Americas most exposed allies that is now in doubt. For decades, Americas security guarantee used to underpin Japans foreign policy; now, on his Asian tour, Mr Obama has had to reassure Japan that it can count on America if China seizes the disputed Senkaku islands (which China calls the Diaoyus). After his tepid backing for intervention in Libya and Mali and his Syrian climbdown, Israel, Saudi Arabia and a string of Gulf emirates wonder whether America will police the Middle East. As Vladimir Putin, Russias president, disrupts Ukraine, eastern Europeans fret that they are next.

The ONLY people bam bam is willing to use force against is his political opposition in the US.
He speaks of Al Queada and the Taliban with more respect than American conservatives.
WHY is it that everybody is so eager to use military force? Americas cerebral president betrayed a rare flash of frustration on April 28th when dealing with a question in Asia about his countrys weaknessThis behavior out of Obama is anything but rare. The man is emotional, not cerebral; always has been.
They can defend their own selves. They have spent all their money on socialism and spent nothing on their defense.
They are SOOL now, because we have also done the same since Ogoofball.
With some exception countries get the governments they deserve...
There’s not one Muslim country worth defending... same goes for countries with high corruption. They’re begging to be taken over... which is just fine with me. Ukraine elects a nut who lives high off the hog and has a private zoo? That’s not ever going to end well - and it’s not worth a drop of American blood.
Yes, we should defend Canada and Israel and other rule of law democracies. As far as Mexico goes? With them dumping their excess citizens on us? Don’t care. Not one bit. Whoever wants them can have them.
We may well find out what Americans are willing
to fight for in the next two or three years.
There is nothing “cerebral” about Barack Obama. That’s just his white boys in the state controlled “media” sucking up to him again.
Americas cerebral president
HA HA
He really is a goofy bas**ard, isn't he?
America under Obama doesn’t stand for anything beyond a short-term domestic political agenda. That is, if you don’t count transgendered rights, gay marriage and promotion of Muslim minorities.
If its about rule of law, protection of property rights, freedom of the seas and commerce, human liberty and rights - forget about it. We’re not interested.
If you are a country of gay Muzzie trannies, Obama will pull out all the stops for you. Otherwise you’re outta luck.
“They can defend their own selves. They have spent all their money on socialism and spent nothing on their defense.”
In total agreement here; Ironically, exposing them for their own weakness may be a positive thing in Bam’s “legacy”.
Good question. Policeman of the world for a bunch of Oligarchs? On who`s dime and with who`s blood? Their`s or ours?
we’ve got a stoned out homo running the show.
plan accordingly
With America itself embracing such sheer degeneracy as fag-marriage and dope, and its government devolving into a sort of corrupt one-party banana republic, I’m getting to the point where I even find myself pondering to what extent America itself is worth defending... much less defending some outside country.
