Eleven Al Qaeda-linked terrorists were arrested in Kuala Lumpur on Saturday, according to the Daily Mail, in connection to the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 in March.
The eleven, whose ages range from 22 to 55 and include students, business professionals, odd-job workers and even a young widow, are being questioned intensively over the flight after an investigation by several intelligence organizations.
Despite repeated denials that the flight's disappearance was a terror attack, Malaysian officials finally admitted after the arrests that the new development raises the possibility of Al Qaeda's involvement.
"The possibility that the plane was diverted by militants is still high on the list and international investigators have asked for a comprehensive report on this new terror group," an officer with the Counter Terrorism Division of Malaysian Special Branch stated to the daily on Friday.
He added that some suspects have already admitted to planning "sustained terror campaigns" in Malaysia but denied being involved with the disappearance.

If true, this will be when CNN stops their “extended” coverage.
Unusual for it not to have been ‘Claimed’ by anyone.
Not if it was a failed mission.
Plus we have already heard that all the passengers were cleared of anything suspicious...
I think they are just grasping at straws to look like they are doing something.
Or if they intended to use the plane later...
Adding complexity when better muted doesn’t help Malaysia Airlines in my opinion. Maybe an unrelated terror network was uncovered, and MA is reaching for a connection.
Morning Joe,
Sure is a mystery.
In the first few weeks after the plane’s disappearance, the pilots were cleared of suspicion, then the whole flight of passengers were cleared. But a few weeks ago in mid April, I heard a Malaysian official say that “No one (who was) on the plane is completely free of suspicion. A few days later, they were back to suspecting anyone. I don’t think it was pilot suicide. I believe it was terrorism that didnt go as planned.
Nothing was gained by the terrorists, therefore, they had no actual bragging rights. Give it three years tops, the truth will come out. This is too big to remain an unsolved mystery.
Then we’re back around to “The Malaysian Government shot it down to head off a suicide attack, and for dozens of reasons no government dares admit it.”
AL-CIA-DA?
Have drifted down that road,
But ‘why?’ , as if they would need a fathomable reason.
It’s likely the Malaysian gubmint monkeys haven’t learned the First Rule of Holes: When you find yourself in one, stop digging!
“...include students”
...well, at least they got to finish the semester! My daughter comes home from college tomorrow.
Exactly... it also jives with the “don’t deviate from flight paths for any reason” posts that the FAA put out shortly after to American pilots that were posted here.
Well...Since is Islam is involved...again...It will be quickly analysed by the MSM and a general conclusion of “if muslims hadn’t been abused this would never have happened.”...or blame it on climate change and income inequality.
You are correct sir.
Bingo. They built runways on pacific islands that could handle B-29s in a few days. This bird is down and waiting.
