The English whites left. Afrikaners - who have no other fatherland, had to stay.
At 10% of the population, white South Africa is a shadow of when whites were 20% of the population and basically ran the country.
Post-apartheid South Africa is very difficult for them to live in. With all the problems, they’re still the largest minority group in the country.
Sucks to be an Afrikaner right now. But during Apartheid they deliberately kept Blacks as second class citizens and didn't include them in government, so right now chickens came home to roost.
If only the Boers kicked the Brits out, South Africa would be in much better shape today.
