Poor Nancy Pelosi! She is very upset because Republicans won’t stop talking about Benghazi. Of course, whenever Nancy Pelosi says anything, you know it’s something Democrats have decided behind the scenes to repeat because they think it will help them win the news cycle.
As the Benghazi story continues to get worse for Democrats, as Rob told us yesterday with his look at now-released e-mails that prove the whole YouTube video story was a phony and politically motivated cover-up, their agreed-upon talking point is that Republicans are “obsessed with Benghazi.”
That’s usually what people say when they’re desperate to sweep something under the rug and you won’t let them do it.
So no, Republicans won’t stop talking about Benghazi, because four Americans died in an attack that the White House and the State Department lied about – both in terms of what caused it and in terms of what could and should have been done to save those people’s lives.
A devastating exchange in the House yesterday, between Republican Congressman Jason Chavetz and Air Force Brig. Gen. Robert Lowell, demonstrates just what a true scandal this really is:
Well, there is another scandal. It’s not just that we didn’t do what we should have done to protect our people. And it’s not just that they lied by trying to blame the whole thing on a YouTube video when they knew that wasn’t the truth.
It’s that they’re so desperate to change the subject now, even to the point of mocking those who still think we need to talk about it, all because the conversation makes them look bad.
Let’s remember what really drove all this. It was September 2012, in the heat of the presidential campaign between Barack Obama and Mitt Romney, and the Obama campaign had been insisting it had Al Qaeda on the run. If they admitted Al Qaeda was behind the attack on Benghazi, it would have undercut their campaign narrative. And if they had admitted the State Department dropped the ball on security at the consulate, it would have undercut the credibility of its leading candidate for the presidency in 2016 – Hillary Clinton.
That’s why they came up with this nonsense about the YouTube video, even making a big show of arresting the video’s creator after Hillary shamelessly told families of the victims he would be “brought to justice,” as if that was what they were looking for.
And that’s why, when challenged on all this several months later, Hillary shrieked, “What difference, at this point, does it make?”
This was all driven by Democrat Party politics. Every bit of it. And that’s what’s driving their claim today that Republicans are merely obsessed with Benghazi for no good reason.
Sorry. This matters. And the more we learn about how cynical this cover-up was, the more determined and pointed the questions are going to be. You don’t get to lie to the American people and then mock the people who hold you accountable for it.
This all boils down to one guy sitting in a room....who is the only one who can order DoD to cross borders and flex muscles, and he judged the threat of a failed operation to be a problem for the election campaign. Pure, simple, and the end of the discussion.
By the next day, the remaining characters in this drama are stuck with a opera which the texts don’t fit. So, you find some script writer to write a fake scenario, which needs one four-star fake talker (similar to Secretary of State Colin Powell’s speech at the UN for example to defend the war). And you disengage yourself from the mess.
Sadly, pieces of this story just never did equal facts. Fake story, fake leadership, fake election, and fake results. Wonder why so many people are disenchanted with DC today.
Oh........
But that’s just what they do.
.....and why?
BECAUSE WE LET THEM GET AWAY WITH IT.
Again, and again, and again............................
And some hapless YouTube user that is inexplicably STILL behind bars!
Where the hell are the families of the four deceased? It would be nice if they acted like they gave a damn instead of leaving it up to others to demand the truth. I understand that they’ve been threatened by the White Hut thugs, but sometimes it’s important to do the right thing even if it involves sacrifice. We wouldn’t have a country or a Constitution if that weren’t so.
If they organized and raised holy hell, Swiftboat style, the MSM would have to cover the story and people might pay attention seeing the pain. I can only hope that the families are waiting in the wings until summer of 2016 when an uproar would have maximum impact on the election (Swiftboat style).
Hillary recently backed out of an event when she found out one of the mothers was going to stage a protest there.
"Us Demrats gotta hustle---we save Hillary's ***.... or else (shudder)."
Cool. I didn’t know that. So maybe they will be able to tell their stories.
Well, they've sure done a steady job of that for over 5 years now. That's all they do and it's high time to put a stop to it.

How do you know? Given all we know about the Obama administration, do you believe the guy even exists? It wouldn’t surprise me to find out the video was made by the State Dept., the guy they arrested was an actor under a coat and the whole thing was a charade in order to support the BS story about the protest.
This Administration has been lawless from the get go. That is why I can’t understand why the non redacted memo was released. Just because a Judge ruled that it will be released, Holder could have held this up with endless appeals, no?.

That is why we must use Mrs. Pelosi’s own logic as we proceed: With AHCA she insisted “We must pass it in order to see what is in it.”
So here we must jail and prosecute her and B. Hussein and Peonetta and Clinton right now, then conduct the criminal investigation.
Use her logic.

And when Trey gets one of the Benghazi CIA Operatives to squeal under oath about the Gun running operation, that will be the icing on the cake. I’ll be buying up Popcorn Futures on the commodity exchanges when that happens. Oh the Glory of all the exploding Dem heads.

Like the ongoing invasion of our country across our southwest border, common sense tells us—What do you get when you encourage/fail to punish/discourage bad behavior?

Bump. The bigger question is and will be, "What were 30 or so Americans doing there in the first place?"
Methinks that such a question will ensnare some Republicans...so be it.

Where is Babs & all those hotshot wannabe reporters? She should be interviewing the 30 or so people who were on the ground at Benghazi. Instead she’s interviewing the Sterling witch. I just don’t get it. Yeah I do.
I agree. There was likely some dirty business going on there. I suspect arms dealing to terrorist types. I also think that McCain is in the middle of this. He seemed to be pretty cozy with the terrorist types in other areas of the middle east. It’s not far fetched for him to have his hand in that area too.
The questioning must be getting close to the truth because the dems are acting in that special way again trying to change the topic, claiming this is old news and other deflection techniques. They never change.
And what if: Jarrett, Obama, and Hillary made a deal with Morsi for our ambassador to be kidnapped and traded for the blind sheik...and Al Qaeda killed the ambassador and 3 others instead of going along with the deal?
