An attorney representing the woman Donald Sterling was talking to when he made racist remarks said Thursday that the hour-long conversation was taped by mutual agreement last September and provided to a friend for safekeeping, who then leaked it to TMZ.
V. Stiviano sent two snippets of the conversation, recorded in her Los Angeles duplex, to a friend who released them without her permission, lawyer Siamak Nehoray said. He would not identify the friend.

No, it was to get rid of Sterling, and put Magic's Johnson in his place. Or Doprah. Or Mayweather jr. or Docta Dre.
I believe it could be a test run for "corporate/private sector redistribution"
13. When were these tapes made?
14. Why were they released when they were (a few days before the Benghazi emails?)
What's up with reporters still using this nickname?
A quick Google search tells me that her name is Vivian. Why be coy with the "V." thing all this time?

I think her sugar daddy value is near zero now. Unless she is working for a future owner of the Clippers, and the gamble is successful.
Well, with sugar daddy situations, I think lots of men would steer clear of her now.
I can imagine men being worried about her taping private conversations, plus the fact that she’s a big celebrity now. So any man she gets involved with will also be in the public eye.
She might actually have to get a real job.
Look if you are going to record someone then save it you are planning on doing something with it like maybe blackmail.
I think this woman sent it to her “Friend” with knowledge that her “friend” would leak the tapes.
This woman who seems to like to take many pictures of herself with her name on the clothes she is wearing is
nothing more than a grifter.
She’s gonna have to find herself another best friend somehow.
I think this may well have been part of a blackmail scheme.
There’s a huge untold story that the media is not digging into.
The media and the liberals and the race baiters went into hyperventilation/meltdown mode over what Sterling said, but are not looking into any issues regarding how it is that these tapes exist in the first place. Or who would benefit from the tapes being made public.
I just said that those are the only possibilities, not that I was sure it was one, or that I have an sympathy for either of them.
Either :
1) She broke the law, or
2) He allowed her taping
If #1 maybe he will lie to protect her and support her #2.
So then he still deserves anything he gets.
He certainly has bad taste in women. She appears as a demon. But since he is a piece of crap too its impossible for me to take sides in this.
This was all over the Daily Mail last night! Pre planned take down.
She is a complete sleezebag and he is a horrible sex crazed narcissist.
“Nehoray said she sent snippets of the conversation recorded on her phone electronically to her friend for safekeeping in case anything happened, but only two went through, Nehoray said.”
If you read the statement above it sounds like she was keeping it to use against the man. I think she told her friend to send the tapes in and if she says otherwise she is lying at least this is my opinion.
Why would you allow yourself to be taped on a cell phone
for what purposes?
And have we heard the whole conversation besides just the snippets that miraculously were not destroyed like the rest of the tapes she sent to her friend?
I mean how do we know that the snippets were not edited to make it seem more than it was?
I have an old Colombo episode where the killer actually did re-arrange a taped call to make it have a totally different connotation but in the end Colombo got the real killer.
No, no..I wasn’t accusing. I guess I’m just kicking around the question because her defense seems pretty weak.
It seems to me that if Sterling approved and agreed to be taped—it wouldn’t need ‘safe keeping’ by a ‘friend’.
I agree, there’s nobody to side with in this.
I suppose this part of the sordid mess interests me and not all the other ugly stuff because what happens here has implications for all of us..
It was me who researched and posted this here
Did V. Stiviano commit a crime when recording Donald Sterling?(California Recording Law) Digital Media Law page ^ | 4/29/2014
I figure that if no charges are pressed and no complaints are made that he has reasons for protecting her, like he is scared of her talking about more dirt.
So where would that leave us?
Two immoral losers taking up MSNBSs ranting time?
Whats the down side of this?
Will this get blacks to get out in November and vote Dem?
He almost got an NAACP award, Its priceless.
TMZ knows where it came from and will be exposed in court. Sterling is not goin down without a fight. The hit squad is prob already out in force!
I certainly hope not. I am wishing for that too.
Then I get Popcorn.
LESSON FOR TODAY: Dollar signs magically obliterate racism. Who knew?
Discredited billionaire Clippers owner, Donald Sterling---caught on tape as a KKK-type racist---apparently was known for his history of screwing Blacks both as their landlord, and as an employer.....areas rigidly controlled by Civil Rights laws.
So how is it that the NAACP---the most venerable organization in the black civil rights movement----has repeatedly honored Sterling?
<><> Sterling got this years NAACP Lifetime Achievement Award.
<><> He got an earlier NAACP Lifetime Achievement Award.
<><> Sterling got the 2008 NAACP Humanitarian Award.
<><> And the 2009 NAACP Presidents Award.
Alas, it was all about the checks. Sterling got the most awards b/c: He paid the most, the leader of the Los Angeles chapter of the NAACP said at a recent press conference.
