Lankford tells General there was actual video feed that night in addition to Predator drone.
General says he was not aware of the video feed.
Lankford: Who are you waiting for from State for a call.
Lovell: Ham would be in contact with State.
Lankford: Did we have Americans’ back that night?
Lovell: Obviously not, sir.
Lankford: Would cosider, prior to attack, was this environment a normal security environment for our personnel.
Lovell: No.

Can you impeach a Speaker, I want to know. No one has yet explained the purpose or value of having an understaffed, undersecured mission house, out in the middle of Hell’s Kitchen Libya, serving mostly as a sitting duck and target, a mile away from the only lead and manpower available, but where an underguarded (naive) ambassador trapsing back and forth using this hovel for what national interest? !!!

It’s not about finding truth, but obfuscating it and burying it.
Only finely tuned witnesses are brought in that have been prepped to give answers with 2 meanings; one to the liking of “conservatives”, one to the liking of “liberals”. Everyone can then hear what they want to hear.
Dems can bring those PR lines to the press and say “See, it’s just a phony scandal - we could not have done any more than we did.
Repubs can say “See, they lied to cover up their failures in the run-up to the election; it was politics over getting our people out”.
And neither of those meanings is true.
The responses really are simultaneously a double entendre in a different sense: they purport that
A) there’s some grain of truth to the Congressman’s question, because the witness was
i) present at the even,
ii) eminently qualified to know the truth and iii) agrees with the Congressman,
but at the same time
B) the witness:
i) thinks we should have done more
ii) thinks we couldn’t have done more
iii) thinks we hypothetically could have done more
iv) is completely innocent of any wrongdoing
v) is angry about the results from the chain of command
vi) feels that the chain of command needs to be improved
vii) feels that the chain of command was properly observed
etc., etc., etc.
Above all, all witnessess AND committee members will absolutely and unequivocally prevent the witnesses, carefully chosen minions of our illustrious financial elites, from divulging anything that might start people thinking about any ties or links to said financial elites. The roles the minions played in the events, therefore, must be sanitized to exclude any facts that lead to their true masters.
Other than that, the minions who had roles in the events can try to wiggle out of trouble they may find themselves in.
But in their wiggling, their masters expressly forbid them to implicate their masters.
If they have to “take one for the team”, they’ll recieve a treat, like a trained dog.
If they squeal out something that implicates their masters, the masters will execute their own judgement upon them.
Silence is the rule.
Today, no one has any place in high offices of the US government unless they are minions of our financial elites. Others are just not allowed in the club. The only way in is to give in to being a minion.
