Why hasnt Shepard Smith come out yet? asks the left-leaning website Gawker.
Gawker claims the popular Fox News anchor was silenced and punished after approaching CEO Roger Ailes last summer about going public about his homosexuality.
But now Ailes and Smith are firing back, calling the story 100 percent false and a complete fabrication.
As colleagues and close friends at Fox News for 18 years, our relationship has always been rooted in a mutual respect, deep admiration, loyalty, trust, and full support both professionally and personally, they wrote in a joint statement.
The Gawker story claims Smith approached Ailes and his Fox News colleagues about coming out of the closet after bringing his boyfriend, a 26-year-old Fox producer named Gio Graziano, to a small company picnic at Ailes home in 2013.

There is only one reason for a queer to come out, it is an advertizement to attract other queers.
This “story” is REALLY gay....
>>Id rather watch local news or CNN.
GA just passed a law that opened up concealed carry of weapons to a lot of places it wasn’t previously allowed. The spokesman for a state gun group, GA Carry, was on both CNN and their sister Headline News channel this Saturday AM. They had a short “debate” with him and a preacher from Ebeneezer Baptist Church (MLK’s church).
I haven’t intentionally watched CNN or HLN in years. I came away pleasantly surprised with how fairly the pro-gun rights advocate was treated on HLN.
News is news, and it's entertaining to watch the "left" try and paint Fox News and Roger Ailes as a network that's "worried" about their "right-wing" viewers not watching a gay broadcaster.
What does that have to do with anything?? Except politics?? I personally am not a fan of Shep Smith's news broadcaster personality, either, period, end of story, SHEESH!
Come out??? I wish some would go back in! (Wait.. that didn’t come out right;)
I don't really care about Shep Smith or his personal life, but what has he done to Gawker that they wish to "damage" him? Has he been pushing "traditional marriage"?
Or, as I suspect, because he works for Fox. So what? Not like Fox is particularly "conservative" and it certainly isn't "anti-gay".
BTW, anyone notice that when the Left really gets into a lather, they start calling people "gay"?
That to their pea-brains that's the very WORST thing you can call someone.
It happened to Breitbart all the time. When he'd confront the astroturf union paid "protesters", the crowd would call him anti-gay slurs.
Who friggin cares.
I cannot stand him as a reporter/anchor.
It would be impossible to care any less about what he does with his penis.
That’s funny.
“I was appalled not to long ago to hear an elementary school teacher say that she thought two boys in her class were born gay and just dont know it yet because they liked to do art projects.”
This, to me, is indicative of the female equivalent of racism. It’s a bias that defines straight men as incapable of empathy, creativity, sensitivity, etc.
WTH do I care if Shep is gay?
Just don’t make the show gay themed and he do whatever he wants in the privacy of his choosing.
I like show tunes, ballet, etc.
I don’t like guys.
Grrls, is the best thing ever to come front rib I wasn’t using anyway.
come on shep, everyone knows your light in the loafers!
Shep and his lover got “married” a couple of years ago.
Fox knew it.
So, if you’re queer, you better come out of the closet or the commie lib gaystapo will be all over you like white on rice. That’s one hell of an “alternative lifestyle” they have there.
The question is not “why hasn’t he come out?”, but rather “why hasn’t he been canned?”
This is the first I’ve heard of him supposedly being gay, maybe my “gaydar” is broken.
Shep’s so juvenile in the way he does the news, it’s painful to watch. He’s like an immature junior high cornball wrapped inside the body of a grown man.
If you had one word to describe Shep, it would be a toss-up between “flippant,” “lightweight,” and “goofy.”
Not since Katrina.
