A growing number of Bunkerville residents want to see the armed militiamen guarding rancher Cliven Bundy leave Nevada, according to a letter from Rep. Steven Horsford, D-Nev., to Clark County Sheriff Doug Gillespie.
Horsford, whose congressional district includes Bunkerville, wrote that his constituents are concerned about Bundy supporters carrying weapons near local churches, schools and elsewhere.
Militia members flocked to Nevada to support Bundy in his fight with the government over his refusal to pay fees for his cattle to graze on federal land.
“I urge you to investigate these reports and to work with local leaders to ensure that their concerns are addressed in a manner that allows the community to move forward without incident,” Horsford wrote to Gillespie.
The letter also says militiamen have a presence on state and local roads as well as federal highways. In some areas, according to the letter, militiamen have set up checkpoints where drivers are stopped and asked to provide a proof of residency.
They’ve been seen carrying high-caliber weapons and keep a round-the-clock security detail on Bundy....

Steven Horsford was elected in 2012 for Nevada’s congressional district 4. This is a newly created district as a result of the 2010 census.
Before that Nevada only had 3 congressmen - 1 Democrat and 2 Republican.

What is “high caliber”? 105mm, 30mm, 20mm, 16inch? 5.56 is as low a caliber as you can get except for .17in. morons.
I see in the photo a guy appears to be near a hilltop.
Does that make a .223 into being "high"? Or do some of the guys have .308 caliber weapons of something akin to AR platform semi-auto rifles?
How high were the people who Horsford claims wrote letters about an alleged concern about --- militiamen setting up checkpoints in "some" areas?
Do those people not have the sheriff's address or know the numbers 9-1-1?

I smell possible false report about the "checkpoints". What would a "high caliber" be there? A sidearm in 10mm? Colt .45?
Where could my "calibers" get high? If I turned my back and they got high enough, then as a possible defense should any of them go off, I could then say "not my fault. the calibers got too high. Talk to them. I think they need substance abuse counseling".

Maybe the “good congressman” should write a letter to Obunga asking him to just give the 66,000 acres to Bundyvwith the deed and Tax Free in perpetuity as a thanks for making food for us and then leave him alone. That, too, would solve the problem and those evil men with guns will go home.
Is there a law agains’t carrying a weapon in Nevada and that county and out there in the country? Guess there is “no hunting” anywhere in that county.
