Interesting; I knew an old guy who has since passed away that was active with American communists back then. He quit when the Nazi-Soviet pact was announced, completely disillusioned; since then he (correctly) saw communism as one big lie.

Two types of scumbags, each trying to convince themselves that the OTHER guy is REEEEEALLLY the bad guy.
And they met in the middle of Poland, and murdered hundreds of thousands of people.
