Problems arose because a single student, junior Daniela Hernandez, was offended by the partys theme of Phiesta.
As a result, the soiree, which was scheduled for Saturday, has been canceled by the presidents of the respective Greek organizations.
Phi Delt president Taylor Catchcart explained why the Greek organizations folded.
We felt that the possibility of offending even one member of the Dartmouth community was not worth the potential benefits of having the fundraiser, he said.

I concur, my wife is Greek and live in a french province in Canada. I speak three languages fluently and can only shake my head in disgust at how the discourse has fallen to an absurd level. The progressive left will leave behind a legacy of hate and poverty of the soul. This instance is a perfect example of how insane the left operates to achieve a utopian goal which can never be reached. I leave you with a fitting quote from the man himself:
As Cervantes states " In order to attain the impossible, one must attempt the absurd"
Stay well and God bless.

I hope you are correct in your thesis of Catchcart as a subtle conservative, but my point about his disregard of the most basic cost/value analysis holds regardless.
Subtle snarks should not replace a charitable event, IMHO.
YMMV.

Lil MS Affirmative Action has demonstrated behavior which will soon become a thing of the past as the SCOTUS decision freeing colleges of racial set asides is acted upon by admission boards.
In the case of MS Offended, she can now lay claim to having used race to destroy a charitable event. What a resume enhancer! Truly, a move worthy of a ‘wise Latina female’.

Repair them?
IIRC, they list them ASAP on Craigslist or AutoTrader.

Phesta is too close to Festivus. If you persist in this line of thinking you will be part of the airing of grievances.
