Patrick is clearly a Caucasian; otherwise an exception could have, and would have, been made.
Shall not infringe.....
Maryland?
Doesn’t surprise me.
As ‘good’ as VA is in regards ‘open carry’ and being able to have a weapon in your car WITH or WITHOUT a Carry Permit, it is ILLEGAL—licensed or not— to leave a gun in your vehicle on school grounds.
If you have a permit you are allowed to have it in your possession as long as you remain in your vehicle.
Of course this makes one a felon if you are ‘out and about’ and decide to swing by to your son or grandsons baseball game.
That being said, they are destroying the kid for being a dumba#$ teenager, nothing more. Everyone involved in this should be ashamed for being a group of complete idiots.
More than half the cars in the student lot at SAHS carried a rifle or shotgun back in 1960.
In 1974 my 9th grade chemistry teacher got invited pheasant hunting. He asked us boys if he could borrow a shotgun. Next day about 12 showed up in the classroom and he tried them all for fit and function before selecting one.
If we were going hunting after school, we left the gun in our locker. Rode the school bus with them, too.
Hell I forgot a shotgun in my car once and took it to school. Principle called me in and just told me not to forget again. This was in 2001 in south Louisiana.
The kid COULD have formed his hand into a “gun-shape” if he really meant to harm anyone. So, I think this was an accident. I guess to stop “gun-shapes” they should cut off all the hands like in those mooselem countries there....
This is kind of surprising. Anne Arundel Co. South of the South River is still pretty rural and full of hunting fishing types. A shotgun in a car should be no big thing
Ah, but we are dealing with “educators” here.
Pheasant and quail hunting after class in the late fall was common when I was in high school in the 60s. Yes, there was a shotgun and shells in the trunk...
yep, and many of us took our shot guns to college.
At both of the colleges I attended there were dove fields planted by the Ag students so us engineers could go hunting
We are indeed!
The purpose is not, and has never been, safety.
The purpose has always been indoctringation.
Indoctrinate the children that guns are bad.
Guns are legaly dangerous.
Go near a gun or *think* positively about a gun, and be punished.
That *is* the purpose of zero tolerance.
Personally I think it is time to take Zero Tolerance Nationwide:
Any Public Servant, Public Official and Public Employees that makes a Deliberate False Statement To ANY Person or Persons, Shall be Considered a Danger to themselves and the community, and Shall be Prohibited from Owning, Using, or Possessing any Firearm or Ammunition.
