"If we must have an enemy at the head of Government, let it be one whom we can oppose, and for whom we are not responsible, who will not involve our party in the disgrace of his foolish and bad measures." - Alexander Hamilton

"We don't intend to turn the Republican Party over to the traitors in the battle just ended. We will have no more of those candidates who are pledged to the same goals as our opposition and who seek our support. Turning the Party over to the so-called moderates wouldn’t make any sense at all." -- President Ronald Reagan

"A thing moderately good is not so good as it ought to be. Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." - Thomas Paine 1792

"It does not take a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the minds of men." - Samuel Adams

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or your arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen." - Samuel Adams

Two Republican rock stars and a cast of backup singers brought their act to Nebraska Friday for U.S. Senate candidate Ben Sasse as the state's GOP primary heads for a wild finale.

Ah, nothing like some good objective unbiased reporting to start an article off on the right foot. Or left foot.

Don't you suppose David Hendee's parents are busting proud that all that college money was well-spent on his Creative Writing classes! Too bad he only got a job in journalism.

Okay, now I'll continue reading with his second sentence of this article. I wonder how much I'll like it too. Tingles down my leg?

Sasse, president of Midland University in Fremont, is running for the seat held by Republican Sen. Mike Johanns, who is retiring. The other candidates are Pinnacle Bank chairman Sid Dinsdale, Omaha attorney Bart McLeay and former State Treasurer Shane Osborn.

So of those four, which one is the darling of the GOPe? I assume it isn't Sasse.

I'm here supporting Ben Sasse because I believe he has the courage to look in the eyes of the party bosses in Washington and say, 'I don't work for you, I work for the people of Nebraska,''' said Cruz, a potential 2016 presidential candidate.

Ted Cruz/Sarah Palin as good as it gets.!!!What a ticket!!
