(LAS VEGAS, KXNT, ASSOCIATED PRESS)–A funeral service was held in NOrth Las Vegas for the man who died at the hands of BLM agents during a skirmish in Red Rock Canyon in February.
The service for D’Andre Berghardt Jr. took place at Nehemiah Ministries Christian Church.
Berghardt was moving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to begin working with his brother when he was shot and killed Feb. 14.
Jacob Hafter, a lawyer representing the family says that various delays, including the forensic examination of Berghardt’s body, contributed to the delay of the funeral and burial. Hafter says the family still has questions about the circumstances of Berghardt. “If we find the authorities did not handle the situation correctly because of improper training or whatever the case may be, then yes, we will pursue justice through the only system we have in this country, which is our court system”, said Hafter in an interview at the funeral with KXNT.
According to BLM officials, Berghardt made threats to kill and tried to grab a rifle from a Nevada Highway Patrol vehicle before he was shot.

Who? The Sheriff or some ‘collection’ agency that takes 95% of the money and gives 5% to the Sheriff’s organization.
Basically they call the Sheriff’s office and request permission to use their name in exchange for 5% of the money collected.
That is correct for some of the fund raisers, but not for the association to which I referred.

......well, I watched all of the tape and read all Freeper comments through 83 and hmmmm.......a few comments:
1. I have personally witnessed 2 cops 5 feet something tackle a 6’ 4” black man tellin em to “come on”. Certainly they could have shot him but they did not. So, watching this curiously prolonged event it’s almost like the cops did not want to get dirty, or something?!
2. The kid wasn’t armed seems to not be in dispute. Nor had he hurt or threatened anybody.
3. 3 trained and armed to the teeth all male cops versus one unarmed kid, kid dead. Not good.
My verdict, based upon JUST this tape and what I have read: cops guilty this time and grievously so. So, prosecution for manslaughter or 2nd degree murder is called for against the shooters.
In the interest of fairness, I want to note that cops do have a “damned if u do damned if you don’t and thankless job ...................but that they ALL volunteer for.
I wish I could support them in this case. But, the facts out there so far are damning against them.

I had my facts straight. I asked if you were donating directly or to a fund raiser. You did not specify in your post that you were donating directly to the NC Sheriff’s Association.
This is getting out of control really fast people. These BLM guys are trigger happy right now.
