Personally, I'm so mistrusting of all these people at this point that I would not be surprised if all of this is cover while Obama continues to work with Putin.

Bush called him "Pooty Poot" and had him scared to death when we kicked ass in Afghanistan and Iraq, making it look easy. Yeah, we botched the occupations, but that's another story.

Good insight. US foreign policy, even before Obama, has been focused around using 1960’s civil rights/anti-war type protest tactics as a tool to remove unfavored governments.

Exactly. In this White House the political advisers have the highest access and the last word on any decision. Benghazi, Syria and the U.S. response to the Arab Spring show what damage is done when political hacks supplant credentialed experts.
