Last time I checked, it was WE THE PEOPLE that paid the salaries for BLM, and anything that they “purchased” with those funds, ummm , BELONGS to WE THE PEOPLE.

Just sayin’...

Note his offensive: Claim rhetoric by the other side for anything that counters his opinions. He did this a few times.

0bama’s handlers do the work. 0bama’s just there for show.

If it was a real fight, one on one, ordinary people, 0bama would be raw meat.

Texas has both a National Guard and a State Guard. The latter cannot be nationalized. In addition, Texas A&M’s Corps of Cadets is a de facto military service academy. Note that Governor Perry was a cadet.

I pray that the hired guns realize that pulling a trigger for a political organization is a lot different than pulling one for the military.

I thought the dispute was taken to Congress which settled it in favor of the two states involved.

Bunch of Washington pinheads talking to each other inside a closed room in a DC building, unaware that the rug is about to be pulled out from under them in Texas 1500 miles away.

Obama needs the Army (General to Private) to back him up, all of them. If he violates the constitution, which it looks like he has here.... There is an oath to defend the constitution every officer takes, not the president, the constitution!

I, _____, having been appointed an officer in the Army of the United States, as indicated above in the grade of _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God."

(DA Form 71, 1 August 1959, for officers.)

I think you are onto something.

On another forum (related to the economy), a poster speculated that the Chinese are buying up all the western gold, and using the worthless devaluing USA dollars they hold to buy land, expensive houses, and other valuable real estate here in the USA.

The land in Nevada they wanted was purchased at 10% of it’s value, or so I read. And, they also bought one of the top bank headquarters in NYC (JP Morgan’s, if I remember right, for much less than it’s appraised value.

I have a sick feeling too, and wonder if we should encourage our grandchildren to learn Mandarin and Cantonese?

But then again, my tinfoil might be wrapped too tight.

Did you know that the .gov has recalled all the Apache attack helicopters from the National Guard, and is replacing them with Huey transport helicopters?

Supposed to be saving money, but I am not smart enough to figure out just how that is supposed to work, since I would assume they are already paid for.

Has anyone posted the interview with Jerry Patterson???

I would love to have been a fly on the wall for that one...

I know there had to be some colorful metaphors slung out there in response to the BLM edict...

BTW, I still believe we need to consider having an impromptu Texas Cowboy Memorial Shoot ready to go if the BLM wishes to engage...

We have plenty of elbow room up near the Red River within logistical range of where they may be targeting their efforts...We can coordinate, rotate our folks, have a place to rest and recuperate...Just no skinny dipping in our lakes back there...It scares the more than ample supply of native turtle species if that occurs...

It ain’t no “Hippy Hollow”!!! ;-)

And at least we’d have a place to meet, stage, and fall back to for many contingencies...

Just an idea...

If this thing boils over and Rick Perry kicks BLM’s ass then I see the distinct possibility of Perry becoming the next president.

The next President has weighed in already. Ted Cruz has entered the issue with a powerful letter to the BLM.

There’s more that one oath out there at play too.

For example, Texas attorneys must swear the following in order to be admitted to practice law.

“I,__________, do affirm that I will support the Constitution of the United States, and of this State; that I will honestly demean myself in the practice of the law, and will discharge my duties to my clients to the best of my ability.”

Texas sheriffs take a similar oath when assuming office.

There is no way for either group to legally side with the BLM on this issue. In fact, one could argue there’s an affirmative duty to fight the feds tooth and nail whenever the Sock Puppet’s handlers violate the either the U.S. or Texas Constitution.

I watched the debate. At one point the retired BLM guy brought up what he understood to be an unequal distribution of wealth - huh? What has that got to do with anything but a view that the BLM is involved in making the world ‘fair’. Especially when he said 65 people in the world ... the world? Again what has that got to do with it?
