One of our children struggled mightily with Math in seventh grade. The teacher was terrible, but there was nothing we or the school district could do about it.

She was a veteran teacher, a member of the NEA and Black. The students who couldn’t afford a tutor were simply stuck. That’s public school education in the USA today. Let’s see Obama fix those situations.

My son had a very similar situation back in the early 90s, only it was a black English teacher, the only black person in the entire high school. He made the mistake early in the year of correcting her grammar. My son was a very good student but barely passed the class.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking his definition of a fix here matches our definition of a fix. Our fix would produce better educated students, whereas the progressives’ fix would produce better indoctrinated students.
