The Obama administration plans to use tens of millions in federal financial aid as leverage to reward teacher training programs that produce teachers who routinely raise student test scores and to drive the rest out of business. Education Secretary Arne Duncan will announce the revival of a push to regulate hundreds of teacher preparation programs Friday at a town hall meeting with White House policy director Cecilia Muñoz. He plans to release a draft regulation by summer and aims to enact it within a year.

Guess he must be referring to his own incompetent teachers who taught him there are 58 states in America. In 2008 he said he had “already visited 57 states and only had one more to go”.
Or Michelle’s incompetent teachers who taught her that correct grammar is to say “me and Barack”.
Let’s hear it for Affirmative Action, else these yahoos would be shuckin’ and jivin’ in some third-rate rap recording studio instead of living the high life compliments of us.
Lets see Obama fix those situations.

Don’t make the mistake of thinking his definition of a fix here matches our definition of a fix. Our fix would produce better educated students, whereas the progressives’ fix would produce better indoctrinated students.

Sadly true.
While I agree that the government would do a bang-up job at handling teacher training, I ALSO am aware that school boards and parents oftentimes do NOT have the kids’ education as a foremost priority. Being a teacher myself, I am exposed to the lack of effort that both of the aforementioned are just as guilty of as said teachers.
