Tornado alley is about to come out of hibernation with a significant multi-day severe event that may match all-time historic tornado outbreaks.
Forecasters are predicting severe storms across Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Texas from Saturday to Monday that are expected to produce strong tornadoes impacting millions of people.
The confluence of a low pressure system and moisture from the Gulf of Mexico are forecast to fuel supercell thunderstorms that will produce heavy rain, damaging winds, hail and deadly twisters.
The storm front will move across the Rocky Mountains and into the southern plains by Saturday morning before strengthening on the back of Gulf moisture before moving east, according to the National Weather Services Storm Prediction Center.
Saturday night will bring the first severe weather threat, but Sunday night is when the worst of the storms and tornadoes is expected to occur.
The twisters may touch down in the highly populated metro areas of Dallas, Kansas City and Omaha before shifting east towards St Louis, Memphis, Nashville and Baton Rouge, NOAA said.

I wonder if it’ll reach as far down as Corpus Christi?
Tornado Obama expected to hit the South this weekend.
Film at 11.
oh boy.. in OKC here might be having some “exciting” times in the interior bathtub with my bro & SIL. Oklahoma .. home of patriots, cowboys, Toby Keith, wild fires, tornadoes, earthquakes.. but I love it despite these manifestations of nature
Memphis is never gets the big ones. The MS river seems to stop f5’s. Just an observation.
Stay safe this weekend, Dolly.
Can’t get important news from the U.S. lamestream media;
Seems we can’t get weather reports FOR the U.S. from the lamestream media, either.

God bless all of you near these storms - Stay safe and may the tornadoes all occur in open fields and cause no harm!
Countdown starting for when the first Global Warming caused this news stories start.
I doubt that NOAA said exactly that. Twisters are not known for their ability to target urban areas. They may or may not hit one of those cities, but this sounds like they're entering coordinates into a control panel before launching.
Don’t we find it somewhat ironic that this “weather report” comes from the U.K.?
If indeed there are severe storms across the mid-south parts of the U.S. I pray for those who will be affected. God Speed!
Seems like the UK is obsessed with disasters looming on the horizon in America, must be British humor of course.
It doesn’t seem like anything unusual for this time of year. But Euro readers wouldn’t know that, would they?
Most of the hysteria-prone local weather readers aren’t even shrieking yet.

Doesn’t look like it. Been hoping for some decent rains for months down here and we can’t seem to get any here on Oso Bay.
ROTFL used to have nightmares about twisters till I moved to tornado alley.
Why are we getting this US weather story from the UK Daily Mail? We already have to look to the UK press to get honest reporting on Obama because of the MSM whores who fear retribution, but what is their excuse for not reporting this story?
Says a lot about our press.
It’s a FAKE story.
Look up the National Weather Service forecasts for the cities about to be devastated. Trust me, the next 30 days are going to see far worse threats than this!
Here’s Dallas:
Saturday Night: A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1am. Some of the storms could be severe. Cloudy, with a low around 69. South wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Sunday: A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 1pm. Some of the storms could be severe. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Windy, with a south wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
