Barack Obama has warned Russia could face "consequences" after accusing the Kremlin of not honouring an international agreement aimed at defusing the Ukraine crisis.
The Geneva accord between Russia, Ukraine, the US and EU called for an end to violence in eastern Ukraine and compelled armed groups to surrender weapons and leave official buildings.
But a week on, the US President said he was ready to "ramp up further sanctions" if Russia continued to disregard the spirit of the agreement.

The Russians are already resigned to the prospect of further sanctions. It won’t deter them from defending their national interests should the situation arise.
Will Germany really freeze doing without Russian gas in order to punish Putin?!
If not, then Billions continue to flow into Russia.
Putin wins.
Idiots like 0bama think playing into that scenario is to their benefit.
They are wrong.
Hey, Obama: you don’t want to go there.
Go off with Reggie and leave these important matters to adults.
This president has zero ability to raise any sort of consciousness in other leaders. This is a complete disaster.
With “the right to be stupid Kerry”, this president has zero ability to raise any sort of consciousness in other leaders. This is a complete disaster.
Oh no! Not (gasp!) Consequences.
What King Barry cares about is getting a pipeline from Saudi Arabia into Europe and diverting all the money EU countries pay Russia for gas to the Saudis. Everything else is just window dressing and opportunism on the part of his crony capitalist pals.
Oh I AM SURE Putin IS SHAKING in his boots tonight!!!!
Thru Syria?
LOL!!! TRUE, TRUE!!!!
And so did Dutch and Denmark...see #3.
Why Sanctions Will Cost Russia More Than America
The fundamental thing is that Russias GDP is 2.9% of global GDP, and U.S. trade with Russia is about 1% of total U.S. trade, says Anders Aslund, a Russian specialist at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. In the big scheme of things, Russias economy doesnt much matter, he adds.
...If the U.S. targets the top four state-run Russian banks, says Aslund, the E.U. could even benefit economically and the U.S. could significantly hurt the Russian economy. If Russian finances are being hit, which I favor, then the money would flow out of Russia, says Aslund.
Obama is playing with fire,....Will Merkel support these sanctions,.,,is a big question.,
Got to hit the rack....Ancient eyes are not cooperating....please excuse the typos,
Obama is out in front of Merkel, which is good because I don’t think she trusts him (she was being spied on personally) nor should trust him.
By all means FRiend, have a good sleep!
