Rand Paul: “Not Changing Any Laws on Abortion,” Life at Conception a “Personal” Belief

Rand Paul is a pro-life Senator from Kentucky who appears poised to become one of the candidates for the Republican nomination for president in 2016. Although he has a strong pro-life voting record, Paul is making comments about abortion that are concerning pro-lifers.

randpaul3As LifeNews reported earlier this year, Paul said in an interview that Republicans should agree to disagree on social issues.

Now, in a new interview, Paul says he doesn’t anticipate changing the laws on abortion and added that his belief that life begins at conception is a personal and religious one, not a scientific viewpoint.

Rand Paul is a moron. Typical libertarian that is now saying there is no scientific evidence that life begins a conception. Has he been under a rock for the last 20 years. No, he's just your typical libertarian that would rather not talk about abortion or marriage. He thinks he can appeal to liberals who will vote for him. What a joke. He should challenge Hillary Clinton for the democrat nomination.

Abortion is one of my deal-breakers. It (with other stuff) kept me from voting for Romney.

What?! Not only is this a SCIENTIFIC FACT, but the fact that it is 100% HUMAN LIFE is a SCIENTIFIC FACT.

Abortion is murder. May nations be judged by how they treat their most vulnerable.

Paul sure gives up easy on everything, at least everything that conservatives would have predicted a libertarian republican would be giving up on.

Rand is calling on the GOP to “evolve” on these issues.

The country has finally reached a point where pro-life is becoming the majority. There were the fewest abortions last year in American since 1973. There is still a lot of work before abortion is once again illegal as it should be, but we can and will get there.

So of course, the Republicans decide that now is a good time to hop off the pro-life wagon.

so any law based on personal beliefs - they aren’t going to ever try to change them to match that personal beliefs?

rand, ALL laws are based on someone’s beliefs. the question is, who’s beliefs re the laws going to reflect, yours or your enemies?

rand just said heisn’t going to fight for his or your beliefs being reflected in our laws. he may as well resign now and let someone who understands what laws are about, to govern for the people.

Paul was a total idiot answering that question like he did. So freaking Romney wishy washy. Paul wants it both ways on too many topics. People want to know what you believe and they want to believe you mean it. How freaking hard is it to just say what you mean.

Life begins at conception.

See....easy.

Paul’s answer on this issue is just one of many reasons I couldn’t vote for him. But wow...he’s not going to make it to the first primary at this rate. AND so far, the state of Kentucky is going to make him decide which ballot he wants to be on.

This guy passed Biology 101 and got into medical school?

How?

You’d flunk if you said something idiotic like this on a test.

I know. I was a biology major in January of 1973, and I understood when Roe was announced that they were saying it was OK to kill a person....by just calling them another name, a scientific one: “fetus”.

Which doesn’t mean you aren’t biologically alive, just in a certain phase of growth.

Life begins at conception. What the court said was that the legal term “personhood” could be defined as being much later.

And that’s what we’re all against.

The decrease in the number of abortions is likely more the result of an increased availability of birth control than it is a change in public opinion on the issue. Poll after polls show that while a majority of Americans to be supportive of restrictions on abortion, this same majority is opposed to a total ban.
