I liked Garret Morris and Chevy Chase "News for the hard of hearing" myself LOL.
I'm 56 so this technology likely won't be approved and affordable in my lifetime to help me out much. But my grandson may benefit from it.

The really weird thing about my tinnitis is that at times I suddenly realize it has stopped. Other times when the weather is unstable it is REALLY loud. I have had it for over 35 years

I expect clinical trials to be very rapid and productive.
