Did they allow you even to vote?
Here yiu wouldn't be allowed to vote if it was shown that someone with your name and address has already voted, and don't you have to show a voter registration card?

I don’t live there anymore and my present town is admirably careful, but nope—I wouldn’t let them corrupt me.

it’s time that we stopped snickering about this problem and started weeding out the worthless pieces of debris who would so dishonor this country, and PUT THEM IN JAIL. That’s the only way that this problem can be resolved. Voter I.D. and SEVERE penalties for those who violate voting laws.

No ID required and as I recall none of the other names had voted—at least through the time I was there.

How else was that arrogant pos occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave to steal the election?

We need face recognition software in all polling places. Every absentee ballot must be hand delivered and a picture taken and entered into the data base. We do not need voter ID just execute everyone who votes more than once.
It won't take long to put a stop to it.

Lowndes and Macon counties are part of what was once called the ‘Black Belt’. (The name refers to the dark loamy soil not the large number of slaves resident on cotton plantations). They were one of the storm centers of the civil rights campaign . Now forty years after the blackamoors assumed political control of these counties we find that they have more voters on the books than residents. Today no cotton is produced in this area but virtually everyone seems to be on some sort of federal or state welfare program.

Before the voter ID became law here in TN, you showed your voter registration card. The clerk asked you if you had already voted and if you did you were not allowed to vote. You verified with the clerk your birth date and address and then had to sign a sheet which you took to the voting booth and gave to the helper.

The usual up here is only to have to give them your name and address and for them to check that off on their list. I have no question but that lots of after-hours votes get added in. In the cities, not in the towns.

Missouri cleaned its voter rolls after the 2000 elections. Every county was required to make an accounting to match the number of eligible voters, and Matt Blunt did a great job of making them do it right. However, last time I went to vote, there was a computer there to collect my paper ballot. OK, so George Soros will count my vote. Lots of luck, conservatives. The Dems will just switch cheating tactics, and they are years ahead of us figuring out which methods to use next.

How ‘bout just dip your finger in purple ink after you vote? Of course, you have to limit the voting period to one or 2 days. They’re already working around that one.
To: Kaslin
Why can’t we do what the US did in Iraq - dip your finger in some sort of semi-permanent ink that wears off after a few days? Even without voter ID you could only vote once.

It's been that way a long, long, time in Alabama. Thousands more democrat voters than there adults in the county. The problem is, now those democrat votes don't put people in office the conservative folks in those counties want to be in office.
As long as Yellow Dog democrats weren't more beholden to their party than to the people who elected them this sort of thing was swept under the rug whenever someone brought it up.
Maybe they'll finally get around to fixing it. While they're at it, they might want to check out a few counties in the lower part of South Carolina and Georgia as well. Same drill has been going on there since the forties.
Better yet, repeal the 17th Amendment and get things back to the way the Constitution originally had it set up and a lot of this would go away in short order.
You want Constitutional Representative government? Then get back to the Constitution across the board by repealing Amendments that defeat the very purpose of the Constitution.
