No ID required and as I recall none of the other names had voted—at least through the time I was there.
Before the voter ID became law here in TN, you showed your voter registration card. The clerk asked you if you had already voted and if you did you were not allowed to vote. You verified with the clerk your birth date and address and then had to sign a sheet which you took to the voting booth and gave to the helper.
Well that is good that none of the other names had voted, so perhaps it negligence by commission
