“She Wore a Yellow Ribbon”, one of my top ten movies. I own the colorized version, but actually prefer the BW version. I believe Turner was who colorized it..

“The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance” is on the schedule, although that was more Jimmy Stewart’s movie, and Lee Marvin who stole the show as Liberty.

A few years ago, my son burned what I think is every “Duke” movie onto DVDs and gave it to me for my birthday. I’ve always loved John Wayne movies. I can’t even begin to pick a favourite. Well, maybe The Horse Soldiers or The Cowboys, I really liked seeing the Duke work with those young kids.

"HAUNTED GOLD"
LOL. I watched that movie at least 45 years ago with a couple of friends at a Saturday matinee. I still remember some black actor (on JW's side), scaring the bad guys in a bed sheet saying,
"I is the Phantom! I is the Phantom!"

I have to go along with “The Searchers” for the best western. I sure like Maureen O’Hara(sp) in the roles she played. The perfect woman to stand up to the Duke.
