An Ohio woman has recounted the moment an act of kindness in helping a perceived pair of broken-down strangers left her being dragged, beaten and robbed on the side of a road.
"Before I could finish asking him if they were OK he grabbed me by the hair and said, 'if you scream I'll hit you even harder,'" 19-year-old Caleigh Roelfs recalled to the Daily News Thursday.
It was 2 p.m. Monday along Napoleon's Route 6 when the engaged criminal psychology student spotted a van with its emergency lights flashing on the side of the road.
"My dad and brothers, even my mom, have always stopped. That's how I was raised," she said of her immediate impulse to help.
But within seconds of the van's passenger stepping out of his vehicle, she lost all control.
The man, she described as a 6-foot black male with a shaved head, face and spider web tattoo on his left hand, violently grabbed her while she was still seated in her car....

I personally wouldn’t stop to help anybody, which is unfortunate. Most people have cellphones and have cellphone chargers in their cars, so they can get help if they need it.
If perchance the situation looks serious, I’d probably be inclined to call the local police to look into it. It’s just too chancy today to do that.
No good deed goes unpunished.
I feel bad for her but she is lucky it did not go worse. I hope she learns from this real life experience in criminal psychology. I think everybody, but especially women, should carry a weapon.
The government wants to disarm us in the face of the feral mob they created? No thanks.

The description is lacking, There were two perps.
Pretty crappy psychology.
Somethings screwy.
She probably didn’t get a good look at the second suspect, because the first one was busy punching her in the face.
She certainly wasn’t in a position to run away. The only thing she could do in that situation is just completely not resist and hope for the best.
Still don’t believe in open or concealed carry? I bet she does now. If only the same could happen to Bloomberg. Only in this particular case it wouldn’t have because he wouldn’t have stopped to help...well maybe but just enough to slow and listen to the woman scream for his own personal pleasure
I have 1 things to say about this, and I’ll say the serious one first, a woman alone is a fool to stop and offer help to anyone, even in daylight, unless she’s the Marisa Tomei character from “My cousin vinnie” and even then maybe not.
Second: will John Derbyshire please pick up the courtesy phone?
Yeah, ok, it’s true I have a third thing to say, the story does sound a wee bit fishy.
Seriously?
What do you suppose is her angle, worldwide fame and fortune?
Mr. Bloomberg has armed bodyguards and wouldn’t stop for you if you were on fire.
Impossible. I'm certain that Bloomberg is surrounded by armed bodyguards. So he can use guns for protection, but you can't. And that's because he's one of the elite, and you aren't. It's just that simple.

The next time you are out at night in the dark and see two black males tell me how much you van see. Black males blend in real well with the dark especially if they are wearing dark clothing.
Napoleon, a small town of about 9,000, is nearby Toledo, one county removed. I bet the perps are not from Napoleon.
