I did some more digging and Sierra Nevada started their own PAC and they spread the money around pretty widely...including Reid of course. They got into some trouble but managed to avoid consequences from what I can tell.
But they admit that their lobbying, etc. got them earmarks and has fueled their amazing growth.

The other thing that’s weird is how they got away with a “woman owned business” when it looks fairly obvious that the expertise is all the husband’s. This, in case you didn’t know, can usually be used for competitive advantage and be awarded bids at a higher price than the competition.

But it’s a whole different thing than the land deal that from what I can tell is WAYYY worse and almost way more likely to bear fruit in exposing Reid.
