David Brooks just said Obama has a manhood problem in the middle east!

He's got a manhood problem here in the US too. And you can take that any way you want.

His remark might just be a "dogwhistle" calling attention to what many Americans already believe to be true. Maybe he's about to be officially outed as the first queer president.

“Incumbency is always difficult to run against.”

In Texas there was no credible candidates (with money) who stepped up in the March primaries against any of the Fed. G’ment scumm.

John Wayne Cornin had a wackjob U.S. congressman from East Texas running against him. There were no candidates against the incumbents in most of the U.S. house races.

The mood of the people (or is it just us?) does not appear to be too unhappy with the status quo.

‘Good morning, everyone.
It’s a wonderful morning. He is risen!’

A cold, overcast, drizzly morning here.

Also a wonderful morning. He is risen indeed!

... the ACA is a commitment to permanently subsidize comprehensive health insurance for millions who could not otherwise afford it, which the federal government has no viable plan to finance. Moreover, experience shows that it is very difficult to scale back such spending once large numbers of Americans have been made dependent on it. “

Their bragging about how many people “signed up” for health care (sic by the media) utterly ignored any attention to detail—mainly, how many of these “enrollees” were subsidized?

The media shows no interest in reality. To me, it was all as if the DOW dropped ten thousand points and the Wall Street Journal blasted out a headline celebrating the “high volume” that was traded yesterday.

Inflation will also affect debt servicing costs, SS payments, federal pension payments, etc.

I’m watching the earnings for the hospitals that get paid by health insurance companies, as no one buying insurance, earnings by those payouts should surely drop considerably.

Another financial issue ignored is the Fed so troubled about jobs, isn’t it many a Democrat whose cried “jobs jobs jobs” for years now. Examples:

Senator Amy Klobuchar MN, Feb 12, 2009
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=goTYOjh2q9M&feature=related

Klobuchar “This bill is about jobs, jobs, and jobs.”
Klobuchar “This is President Obama’s plan — jobs, jobs, jobs.”
Klobuchar “Mr. President, I ask my colleagues to support this important legislation. It’s about jobs, jobs, and jobs.”

Obama’s Weekly Radio Address 02 21 09

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vWmtPRPpJo

THE PRESIDENT: “Earlier this week, I signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — the most sweeping economic recovery plan in history.

Because of this plan, 3.5 million Americans will now go to work doing the work that America needs done.

...Because of what we did, lives will be saved and health care costs will be cut with new computerized medical records.”

Flashback: Oct 10, 2009

Transcript of Pelosi, House Democratic Leaders, and Economists’ Press Conference Following Economic Forum

Speaker Pelosi. Good afternoon. We just had a very instructive meeting with some leading economists about the number one subject on the minds of the American people: jobs. Jobs, jobs, jobs, and jobs.

Obamacare adds at least 18 million to Medicaid. And now we are talking about a much bigger universe when it comes to Obamacare. It takes over one-sixth of the economy. And we have yet to see the true impact once fully implemented. From the article:

"An Expansion of Spending Commitments Comparable to Enacting Social Security, Medicare or Medicaid: Our biggest fiscal problems today stem from Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security costs rising well beyond original projections. The ACA was enacted even though these longstanding financing challenges have still not been met, and represents an additional expansion of federal commitments comparable to these other programs’ creations. CBO now estimates that the gross costs of the ACA’s coverage expansion will be $92 billion in FY2015, or about 0.5% of our total GDP of roughly $18 trillion. This far exceeds, even relative to today’s larger economy, the initial costs associated with the entirety of Social Security and Medicaid, and is comparable to the startup costs for all original parts of Medicare combined. Consider this: just five years after enactment the ACA will absorb more of our total economic output than Social Security did fully sixteen years after it was enacted.

The number of sign ups was always a poor metric to use to gauge the “success” of Obamacare. The objective of the program thru coercion is to get everyone under the program one way or another. Businesses will drop more and more people from health care coverage. It is cheaper to pay the fines than the costs of health care. The numbers have to increase. And the more the numbers increase, the greater the financial burden on the taxpayers. It is a coming disaster.

Sorry about that Morgan! I actually forgot it was your great Broncos they played.

Back in 1977 I was stationed down at Cheyenne Mountain in Colo Springs... I remember when Denver played Dallas in the Superbowl then. Craig Morton was the QB. I rooted for Denver, but they lost that one, too. Whoops, sorry again! But hey, they made up for it years later with Elway and Sons!
