Allowing taxation of a current class of invisible workers, via medicare and medicaid tax, would increase revenue. The issues facing social security are a lack of children to support the aging workers. The way to fix that is with imported workers that we then tax.

Also as they are allowed to advance in job status they may start paying income tax too.

The problem now is they are unable to work anywhere that pays any decent amount of $$. This in turn keeps them in poverty that we are worried about.
