Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) criticized the federal response to rancher Cliven Bundy, becoming the first GOP 2016 presidential hopeful to weigh in on the issue.
Paul slammed the federal governments show of force in the dispute, which culminated in a standoff at Bundys ranch between police and his supporters, including armed members of militia groups.
Bundy is refusing to pay grazing fees for his cattle, which for decades have grazed on federal land. Paul sided with Bundy in that fight, arguing that Nevada and local authorities should control the land.

It’s easy to be a hero after the fact.
Fixed it.
Bundy has a lot of support here in rural New Hampshire.
If it wasn't for all the commie transplants from MA, CT, and NY, NH would still be true blue.
Well, since you obviously know the answer to that asinine question...
The same could be said about you...Where were you, Mr. Keyboard Commando???
I can tell you are somewhat fond of the whole libertarian Ron/Rand Paul axis...
Seek life and libertarianism elsewhere...
Thanks for the link...
Gathering up what information we can, and confirming it all, is becoming a real challenge...
There is just not a lot out there you can trust these days...
I was not surprised to see the Paul-Bots showing up (again)and defending the in-defensible...

True but at least he’s saying something. The rest of the quislings are MIA. I detest them all.
I will be right here with you, brother, where I have been since 2001. For somebody whose tagline talks about “thin skin,” that other guy sure has it, huh? But he wants us to pursue life and liberty somewhere else. Too funny.
You need to change your tag line. And don’t tell me not to express my opinion.
I don’t like every thing about Rand Paul but he has a lot of positives to offer.
Go Rand!
You do that...Its a free country...For now...
No problem with laughter...It kinda makes things go a bit easier...
Words mean nothing, after the fact...
Spoken like a true dyed in the wool Paul-Bot...
Symbolism over substance...
Words that almost sound too good to be true, but when you get right down to it, its empty of anything palatable (really conservative) in the long-term...
Go create your own political party...Stop polluting others...
I’m interested in knowing how that works out for y’all...
Why change my “tag line”...If you don’t get it, fine...If that’s all ya got, then I stand by what I said...
Opinions are like azzholes...Everyone has one...Some are bigger than others...ehem...’scuze me...
I would not dream of telling someone they cannot express their opinion...Like your libertarian buddy stated...
Y’all yern for an “alternative” political philosophy in something similar but not totally conservatism, and that is absolutely your right to do so...
If “I” choose to be critical of Rand Paul, guess what...It has nothing to do with his base “libertarian” political philosophy...
If you understood what I was getting at before you jumped off and did the usual bash the Paul-Bot “basher” routine...And use the playground mentality argument of “where were you during all of this” nonsense...
I’m sure any one of us could have hopped on a bus, forgot about Gus, and shown up there to potentially get shot at...Which would have been ok by me, because I shoot back, with more than just rhetoric...
The same could be said about you...Where were ya at there Kemosabe??? You got pictures shaking the hand of Mr. Cliven???
I would not be going there for a photo-op...I do not believe anyone there was there for that...
Unless you have something substantive to add this other than mis-interpret “tag lines”...And do the usual “Go Rand!” rant...
We’re done here...
See ya on the front lines...Or, maybe not...
Yeah, it took Rand long enough to say something. Apparently, no drones were used to harass Bundy, so Rand didn’t find it note-worthy. Hundreds of armed agents evoked nary a yawn from Rand. Bob
Why is Rand better that, say, Cruz or Lee? Methinks that Rand has been doin’ a lot of fence-straddling of late. Bob
More to what you pointed out...

If what occurred in Nevada is what it finally took to get people onboard with this issue...
I’m all for it...Even Rand Paul should chime in...But I still stand by my original assertion...
“Where were YOU when this was going on?”
Of course you say something like that and Rand Paul supporters come out of the woodwork because you make a valid point...
But I guess since most of us are occupied with other priorities, and make adjustments when we can, who can say that most of us, if we had the chance would have stopped what we were doing and trundled off to go potentially to get shot at...
Somehow that concept is lost upon those who do not think past the noses on their faces...You do not go toe to toe with the Redcoats in open field battle...
There are plenty of substantial things you can do about things (issues) like this right in your own backyard...
But hey...What do I know...I just do not support “foam-at-the-mouth” libertarian leaning politicians...
But this is all just my opinion...
I didn’t say he was better than Cruz or Lee. Cruz and Lee are better than Paul, IMO. I said Paul has some positives to offer.
I would not bet on the “no drone” usage...I’m sure the tactical units were deployed to watch things develop...
But what does that really matter??? If the word “drone” is enough to cause Rand Paul to froth at the mouth...Then he and his followers have a heap many bigger problems to deal with...
;-)
I think we’ll be standing side by side along with a lot of other good people.
There, see how much we might be able to agree on???
You say there are “some” positives with Rand Paul...
Ok...If that be a position you take on the matter, then there HAS to be some negatives as well with him, right???
No one is perfect, not a single person on this planet...Sometimes, in my opinion, “alternatives” that sound and wiggle the way you like, can turn against you...More often than not...
Especially in this particular age in our countries political system...
Personally, my opinion is that we need to fire every frappin’ one of them, (including Cruz and Lee and a few others we might all like as well)) and start over with “real” people...Not career or opportunistic personalities looking to make a name for themselves in politics...
Hoping for an “alternative” that quacks like a duck, has bit us in the azz too many times in the last 20 years...
Some of us do not like taking chances we cannot quantify or qualify in an arena like this...
Just my opinion...
I don’t trust ANY of them, either.
Let’s hope when it is all re-built, the Constitution is the blueprint.
