HHS MOVES TO CANCEL MORE INSURANCE PLANS
Breitbart ^ | April 18, 2014 | by Mike Flynn

The Department of Health and Human Services is proposing a rule that would, if implemented, guarantee that even more Americans who like their health insurance plans cannot keep them.

Fixed indemnity plans, which pay insured customers a set amount towards medical expenses and are often cost-effective relative to more comprehensive health insurance, are popular forms of coverage, and potentially becoming more popular in the wake of Obamacare.

Health insurance industry representatives say that fixed indemnity plans have been attracting more interest as many Americans look for a way to mitigate against the high deductibles applicable to many insurance policies available on the Obamacare exchanges (fixed indemnity plans are not Obamacare-compliant, but they are seen by some consumers as pairing nicely with Obamacare-compliant insurance).

But the HHS rule would effectively ban them, overriding regulation that has up until now been the preserve of state governments. The rule would state that these plans can only be sold to consumers where that consumer also purchases Obamacare-compliant insurance.

It is difficult for fixed indemnity providers to determine definitively whether a given customer carries Obamacare-compliant insurance. The proposed regulation may also conflict with state laws pertaining to fixed indemnity. This uncertainty creates a regulatory nightmare for insurers, threatening to cause insurers to stop offering fixed indemnity coverage altogether, whether consumers like it or not.

"This latest proposed Obamacare regulation, like many before it, isn’t even a remotely plausible interpretation of the statutes that Congress actually passed", wrote Ed Haislmaier, a senior fellow at Heritage Foundation. "This latest “fix” is worth fighting — both to keep the lifeboats intact during this dangerous voyage and to keep a sound insurance option in place for the long haul."

This is what I have called Cancer Jackpot insurance (actually it’s usually called Critical Illness Insurance). Bad news, you have cancer; Good news, you now have (at least) 50K to spend on deductibles, health insurance permiums, vacation, cocaine, hookers or anything else you want.

But seriously, it provides a little extra measure of security at a very scary & insecure time in people’s lives. And now HHS wants to take it away, because it’s a desired product, and the only way it can get more sign-ups for ObamaCare it to prohibit all actually valuable insurance products.

The solution will not be found within our artificial two party system.

I've been seeing this and saying this for years.

Harry REID said Obama Care was only a step toward the single payer system, so when the outcry becomes loud enough....the government will put everyone, and I mean everyone on Medicaid...hence, it will become a single payer system with a new name.

When that happens, the real doctors and clinics will have closed, and the non compliant hospitals will be banned as unusable, and the long lines that exist in England and Canada will be evident. Death panels will come next denying certain groups and people necessary surgeries and treatments with no alternatives. A complete destruction of the once terrific American Health Care System.

The question of impeachment is simple...

Are the actions by our government/administration concurrent to the conditions needing to be met for high crimes and misdemeanors???

Is the ongoing changes (destruction) to our economy, society, moral and core Constitutional liberties and freedoms meeting that criteria???

I’m not defending these facts...I am just pointing out that there are not a lot of people in the right positions, or enough of them (us) to bring this up to a point of discussion outside this forum...

And those that have tried, the articles of impeachment have been buried along with those

Go take a look at H.R. 411

Illuminating to say the least...If you can find what its status is...
