A Denver woman was allegedly shot to death by her own husband while on the phone with police after he consumed marijuana edibles and began hallucinating.
Kristine A. Kirk clung to her phone with a 911 dispatcher for nearly 15 minutes before her final scream was accompanied by a piercing gunshot late Monday night, NBC reported.
When officers arrived at the 44-year-old's home they reported finding the mother of three dead at the scene after suffering a gunshot wound to the head.

Death by marijuana
“clung to her phone with a 911 dispatcher for nearly 15 minutes”
Precisely why I don’t call 911.
Yes. Might have been a better idea to go out the door.
na... can’t be ... every pot head will tell you smoking weed is harmless and in fact makes you a nicer person, better driver, and much much smarter!
Just ask them between puffs!
But DUUUDE! Like, I like thought that pot was like, supposed to like mellow you out and stuff, man, like you know what I mean? /s;)
Sure, piling the kids in the car and leaving in hindsight would have probably saved her life. But I’m not sure how many wives would leave their husband like that.
This doesn’t seem “victimless” to me...just sayin’.
OTOH, how many people have killed others while in a drunken rage?
Why do people think pot was called “Wacky Weed”?
If they didn’t know before they will have a lot of opportunity to learn as dope use becomes more liberalized.
sorry...
marry jane is not a halucinagenic..
period..
She couldn’t leave the house during 15 minutes?
Pot does cause hallucinations at extremely high doses but those doses are incapacitating. If he truly ate enough to hallucinate, he would not be able to get up from the floor.
Tens of Millions of people use pot in this country (and hundreds of millions world wide) so it is always possible to handpick one stoned idiot every month and scream that pot caused it.
Heck, it has not even been confirmed that this guy ate it. Only speculation right now.
Civil suit against the husband’s pot supplier coming soon.
Came to post that.
Not that I think it’ll make a dent in the usual bloviation...
Nope, it sure isn’t.
Blood sugar levels are mind altering.
There’s tons of stuff about it, available on the net.
That is, if you’re *not* looking to justify its ‘harmlessness’.
