There goes a alternative to sky-high beef prices.

Michelle says pork is bad for you.

Eat Tofu with bean sprouts instead.

No, record increases in food prices have nothing to do with massive government debts and Federal Reserve money printing and QE. In fact, the government’s own statisticians tell us inflation is a very low 1.1%, and why would they lie?

It just has to do with pig virus, bad weather, shrimp disease, drought in California, frost in Argentina, snow in NY, etc... Nope, nothing to do with government-induced inflation.

This is the first Easter I can remember that I couldn’t get a ham at Safeway for 99c/lb. It’s $1.29 this time.

My kids don’t understand why I have been storing food.

I am still eating the peanut butter I bought for .79 a jar.

Now I am storing pork.

From the sounds of this, I am very glad I do not have to clean up pig diarrhea.

Some fiber should help out, or cheese.

I wonder if the virus will somehow get transferred to wild hogs. If not, then we can get our own pork. Apparently they are moving north through the Blue Ridge and are in northern VA. What do you use to safely shoot a wild hog?

Received a note from our state veterinarian yesterday, the virus is wiping out Mississippi piglets as it is now here.

Yea, they’ve been harping on the food supply and every cycle it’s some natural disaster driving food prices up. Beef, then chicken, then pigs, corn, soybeans and on and on.

Didn’t anybody stop to think that prices are high because Gasoline prices have migrated upwards

http://www.GasBuddy.com/gb_retail_price_chart.aspx?city1=USA%20Average&city2=&city3=&crude=y&tme=120&units=us

Look at the chart. Funny, I must have slept through the spring of 2009 cause I don’t remember gas being $1.61 a gallon.

Deadly diarrhea? You have to pass it to find out what is in it.

We need a Pig Protection and Affordable Bacon Act.
