The Republican challenger to Sen. Pat Roberts, R-Kan., thinks nobody should spend 47 years in Washington.
Dr. Milton Wolf, a diagnostic radiologist from the Kansas City area, on Wednesday released a television ad criticizing Roberts for his nearly five decades in the nation's Capital.
"After 47 years in Washington, Kansas is a distant memory for Pat Roberts," the ad opens, before pivoting to Wolf's daily routine as a Kansas doctor.
The ad goes on to mention Wolf's plan to "repeal and replace Obamacare," "fight wasteful spending" and pass Congressional term limits.
After his tenure, Wolf's ad promises, he'll return home to Kansas.
Wolf, a Kansas native, is President Obama's cousin through their common ancestor, Thomas Creekmore McCurry.
Roberts came to Washington to work on the staff of Republican Kansas Sen. Frank Carlson in 1967. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 1980 and won his Senate

Nobody should spend more than 8 years in Washington.
After that many years living in DC, he is from DC.
He isn’t FROM DC; he IS DC!
I initially was intrigued by Wolf.
Not anymore.
No matter how flawed Roberts might be, Wolf is not the answer. Turns out he posted bizarre xrays of his patients online - not what I expect from a doctor. And, he will never be elected.
Drudge has got a headline up that Sebelius is thinking of returning to KS for a Senate run against Roberts.
“Drudge has got a headline up that Sebelius is thinking of returning to KS for a Senate run against Roberts.”
Yeah, I just posted that story. Nightmare! If she ran, I’d love for Wolf to be the GOP nominee. A doctor against that bureaucrat, not an entrenched old man from Virginia!
She's kidding herself then. It ain't the same Kansas she left. Then there was an active Democrat party which held two congressional seats and most of the state offices. Now there isn't a single Democrat in any of the state offices or the congressional delegation. She can come back and she can run and she will get steamrolled by Roberts.
Two terms is enough. Then they’ll have to go back and live under the laws they inflicted upon the rest of us!
I was gonna say 6, but 8 works.
That OUGHT to include NO PENSION.
That goes without saying. And they should all be subject to Obamacare and any other abominations they decide to impose upon us.
He is deeply flawed and Sebelius' team, were she to run, would have a field day running against him!
She plays dirty anyway but a run against a character like Wolf would make every conservative that desires new blood in the Senate, wish Roberts had been the candidate she went after.
Roberts knows the Kansas electorate plus the "good ole' boy" network in election politics - Wolf has no idea what he's up against and even the media in Kansas will salivate taking his history apart on the nightly news plus she can count on the national media being in her camp, as they have been since she's been HHS Secretary!
If it becomes Sebelius vs Wolf, everyone in the media will love every minute. When or if Sebelius jumps into the race, count on some pretty seedy details coming out about Wolf.
It's not gonna be pretty and those conservatives who have longed to rid DC of entrenched pols grabbed onto Wolf or maybe even helped create his "story," but the real story will be exposed and again Karl Rove will smile about "conservative wanna be's not ready for prime time!"
They only have themselves to blame as there are some people who tried telling the true story about Wolf but they refused to listen.
Those folks projected an image onto Wolf that he isn't and let their desire to get "new, energetic conservatives" they could count on or perhaps even control, instead of the fat cats at the RNC or behind the scenes.
Unfortunately, it will be the Kansas voters that get whacked again by Sebelius and the Left, thanks to the would-be "conservative movers and shaker king makers."
Planned Parenthood and the abortion industry will again be pulling out all stops to get Sebelius back to DC!!!!
I had a surgeon who lived next door and he enjoyed showing me quite bizarre xrays.
Frank was a freak.
