One Republican candidate for governor is a former U.S. treasury official, a moderate who promises to create jobs and fix Californias public school system. Another is a firebrand a conservative California assemblyman and former anti-immigrant Minuteman who was convicted of a misdemeanor in 2012 for having a loaded gun in his carry-on luggage at the Ontario airport.
Although some California Republican leaders had seen the moderate, Neel Kashkari, as the GOPs candidate of the future in a deep blue state, Tea Party favorite Tim Donnelly is pummeling him, according to a surprising new Field Poll.

Californian moderates have such a great victory history. Anyone remember Elizabeth Emken? No, me neither.
There is a mention of Tim hurting Jeff Denham’s race. Hopefully he loses when he tries to distance himself from Donnelly. Michael Medved had Denham on his show to sell amnesty. It was like Hannity with Rubio’s infomercial for amnesty.
A caller from asked him Jeff if he thinks that his amnesty bill will cause a wave of illegals. Denham ignored the question and talked about how patriotic these people are.
The nice guys? Yeah, we already tried them and got buried. If we’re going to get beat either way, let’s at least go down throwing heat.
Even in a hardcore blue state there are people who are fed up with liberals, moderates, and those who appease to leftist politics. Californians are suffering from the effects of a leftist-run government, and instead of being a shining example of the economic greatness of America, it’s been turned into a liberal, politically correct economic craphole!
Slander. Par for the course in the MSM.
Medved has no listeners, luckily.
Amen to your characterization of our once great State. I was born here long ago and have seen it turn into a cesspool. The of the fatal flaws in our system is the doctrine “one man one vote.” The doctrine means just everybody from no matter where votes and guess who they vote for?-The GOODIE MEN!

I like the way the totally unbiased way the the neutral reporter describes the two candidates.
Anti-immigrant?
Since when are illegal aliens immigrants?
Go Tim.
Isn’t Medved conservative? He’s on Salem radio, which also has people such as Dennis Prager, Hugh Hewitt, and Mike Gallagher, at least on my local station these others are on.
I don’t hear any of them regularly due to work anand other activities. But I thought Medved was a conservative, perhaps I’m mistaken.
Well, we can scratch this guy from the support list of the California Republican leadership, and the RNC... What? Are you joking me?
Hope he has deep pockets.
“Far Right”?
Politics don't change much, even in the golden state.
Folks rave and rant, scream and holler, but if they did their economic homework, that is, education, job, savings, etc., they are just fine.
Screaming and carrying on makes them feel better, I suppose, but, other than that it serves no purpose other than to show the world how SPOILED they are.
They remind me of Calvin and Hobbs.
Well he’s probably as conservative as Prager and Hewitt. (Gallagher I just don’t get).
If one believes that the USA’s problems can be solved by electing a few more Republicans, they might be your kind of conservatives.
I think it’s way too late for their kind of solutions.
Nope; Medved is just another go along to get along IDIOT.
I would disagree with that assessment of California. I think it is changing quickly. My son is 19, and when he started high school at his private Christian high school, most of the kids were prett,y conservative. My daughters are 3 grades below him, and now most of the kids are very liberal.
When we first bought our home 20 years ago, we coukd easily do it on our engineer salaries and then we could afford for me to quit working. My son chose to go to college in Texas because it will help him get a job in Texas where he will be able to buy a house on his salary. He would not be able to buy one in California.
Then there are the multitude of little laws that are increasingly limiting our freedom from not being able to have a fire to plastic bag bans.
When our daughters graduate from high school next year, we will move out of California and probably to Texas.
I forgot to mention that my husband was laid off 2 years ago, and the cost of living is getting to us. Our savings will go much further in Texas.
Not here in CA. Brown is already up something like 30 points. Write CA off. And if they are fed up (not according to the polls here) they aren’t gonna jump ship.
CA is a lost cause.
You will love Texas. Lots of CA license plates here...lol. We just want the conservative ones ;)
Best of luck...with the college years and the (possible) move to TX.
