LAS VEGAS -- A deal has been reached between Bundy family leaders and the BLM, but not without some very tense moments.
Armed Bundy family leaders met with BLM officers Saturday afternoon in Mesquite to discuss the fate of the Bundy's cattle that the feds removed from BLM land, over the past week. The cattle are being held at a holding area in Mesquite.
Prior to the meeting, hundreds of protesters, some armed, tried storming the BLM's cattle gate, but weren't successful. The crowd was urged to wait 30 minutes and give both sides a chance to talk. An agreement was reached that the cattle will be released to the Bundy family later Saturday.
At one point, I-15 was closed in both directions, about seven miles south of Mesquite, because protesters had blocked the freeway. Nearly two dozen police officers and a SWAT unit were at the scene to keep the peace and assist the BLM enforcement officers to safely leave the area.
Protesters have been gathering all week in support of rancher Cliven Bundy, who has been locked in a legal battle for the past 20 years over grazing rights with the federal government

I’d never take a sign to a gun fight.
Well put, and the reason they're just Jones'n to disarm us.
DONT TREAD ON ME
I think there is a lot more to this story that has yet to appear on the Internet. How many supporters did Bundy have out at his place the night before the Feds threw in the towel? Even low numbers like 2000 protesters to 200 Feds is not ideal when the protesters are also armed and ready.
Were they so outnumbered that there was no possibility to contain the crowd? It’s a lot more difficult to call up 2000 more armed cops when your opponents re spread out across a couple of miles of barren desert hillsides. Where would the cops come from and which areas would they be leaving unprotected?
the worrisome part is that the BLM, thought they could do by force....
i’ve read upwards of 5K and beyond with more coming
Just watched a live ustream via Alex Jones.
The cows being held by the BLM have been released. Cows and local cowboys have the animals and are herding them back to the ranch.
It was stated by witnesses that the BLM has left in a convoy of over 80 (eighty) vehicles. Down the interstate and gone.
“Make sure that he and mooch go on vacations TOGETHER??”
Good one, Elsie.
It's "serf".

While I agree with you to an extent, parents need to start making sure that their children are taught the federal government's constitutionally limited powers.
Cow cuffs?
The convoy seemed to be made up entirely of GM (gov motors) vehicles...at least from what I saw on the fuzzy live cam.
Doesn’t Hairy get protection from The Mob?
I found it interesting that the BLM had to recruit agents from other states to man the perimeter. The BLM has approximately 10,000 agents.
What it tells me is that the Nevada BLM personnel were too fat and out of shape to engage in a protracted engagement that called for manning posts in the hot desert. The BLM had call up personnel from other states who were reasonably fit. That tells me a lot about the readiness and combat efficiency of the BLM as a whole.
IOW, you don’t want to go into battle with fat desk jockeys who stuff their faces all day with 700 calorie jelly doughnuts. My conclusion is that the BLM is not and never will be an effective force to fight for the glory of Obuma.
JMHO.
When these thugs can swoop in, kill or mame, get their stories straight and then exit the site of the perpetration of the crime, ..this always works for them. They go into the wrong house at 2 a.m. kill a 75 year old, then exit with an explanation of 'sorry-bout-that', knowing that the chief at the office will stand in good for them has always worked for them. Now, they apparently they have hundreds or thousands who, unlike the eyewitnesses of Flight 800, who they think they could not convince that they could not believe their lying eyes, .. so the BLM got cold feet. They will have to come back with a different plan ..one that is based on decelit, deception, and theft. ONe that is a lightning fast, ..one that restricts video documentation, ..one that may meet out death ..and as Hillary said so often when she was caught in a lie .."Coulda, Woulda, Shoulda, ..Let's move on."
To employ the Benghazi technique ..to let all victims die would have left a silence to fill in the blank by the BLM. If the entire family had been killed, there would have been throw-down guns allegations of assault by the ranchers and their families. But there was too much video sunshine on the circumstance. These tories could not make it stick. If only all of the ranchers family had been killed, then their word against ours and their word has been silenced by the Nevada guns of April. A massacre could have made it work. But the BML had to have circumstances they could control They lost control, and without any moral high ground for the assault, they shrink back beneath the rocks they crawled out from under.
Be sure, the BLM is not through with these people. They have humiliated themselves and the ranchers have humiliated them, and the people see the tyranny for themselves. It became too hard to hide the truth. They do not have the truth in them. But, this is only the 7th inning stretch.
But, all said, this is a good day for freedom. I only hope people will wake up to the tyranny.
BLM vehicles leaving-short clip
>>. 130 dead from being chased in the heat.<<
That is what the BLM does not want to see on the evening news!
Heifer today,
Guernsey tomorrow
You meant “serf”, right?
That was not “protesters” blocking the highway. Those were patriots!
