The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund announced Saturday it has endorsed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) for re-election in the May 20 Kentucky primary.
"Mitch McConnell is a true champion of our Second Amendment rights, leading the fight against President Obama, Harry Reid and Michael Bloomberg's anti-freedom agenda," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund.....

Agreed. In fact PETA, like most radical groups, is more about socialism and control than about caring for animals. Check out the information about PETA and HSUS at consumerfreedom.com PETA routinely kills animals.
Not if one fights the GOP big govt politicians. Voting in primaries and defeating big govt incumbents is the gamechanger.
In the big picture Mcconnell’s history doesn’t deserve a reward of 6 more years of incompentence.
Too many TEA Party candidates are in the raw. Politics isn’t amateur hour.
The kicker is he has a good point: Cockfighting should not be a Federal issue. But, lacking finesse, he made it easy to paint him has pro-cockfighting, which I very much doubt he is.
I’m not renewing my NRA membership, that’s for sure.

I agree. Gun Owners of America is much better than the NRA.
GOA all the way. No compromise!
The lacking finesse part is my only point. We can’t push “conservatives” who are also political naïfs. They have to be smart and campaign on a winning issue.
That training exists and you’re better off with it than without it. Those who claim a GOPe conspiracy or media conspiracy are generals who just don’t like the territory they’re forced to fight in. Either learn the combat and win or just stay out of the fight altogether.
Yep.
Also recognizing who the enemy is. At the moment, GOPe is the enemy that must be defeated. It cannot be ignored, Chinless and Bonehead have both declared war on the TEA Party.
Oh, we also cannot ignore the TEA Party candidate agains Chinless has completely self-destructed, so it’s pointless to root for him or send him money. He blew it, big time.
I disgust you but pulling babies from their mothers womb and jabbing them in the neck with scissors that doesn’t disgust you.
It disgusts me and I am sure Cyber Liberty, but what does that have to do with the subject? Are you saying that either McConnell or Bleven believe in this? Your post makes zero sense on this thread.
It’s just another thread hijack.
What the NRA has done (in reality) is endorse Grimes. Rather than endorse a conservative that can win the general, they endorse a lying, two faced, lily livered RINO that will lose in the general.
Ipso facto, the NRA is electing Grimes, but they’re too dumb to know it.
I am NOT voting for McConnell. Not...going...to...happen.
Flame away, I am invulnerable
The blueprint for stopping progressive fascism was shown to us in Nevada this week. Massive peaceful resistance, backed by the willingness to defend with force if attacked by government thugs.
RINOs with yellow stains on the front of their pants is not part of that blueprint. Or, like Mitch, who’s got what looks suspiciously like an imprint of Harry Reid’s zipper on his face.
The point was that people that get all bent out of shape over killing chickens should have equal outrage for abortion clinics.
Getting on line and declaring that a politician that attended a Chicken fight is doomed, yet plenty of GOPe at least tacitly support abortion, are given a pass.
I in know way would enjoy a chicken fight or dog fight, or bull fight, but plenty of voters do like those distasteful sports. Do I think it unwise for a candidate to be attending one of those events, probably, but maybe their voters are not as upset as some here are.
Really? That's the first I heard that from you. You spent many posts telling me cockfighting is no big whoo to you, the same as slaughter for food. A dandy way to spend an afternoon with the wife and kids. Huh.
My point is, Bevin already had a very difficult campaign ahead. Aligning himself with cockfighting wasn't stepping on his junk, it was shooting it clean off. Sorry if you don't like that, but it's a fact. He's finished. This is worse than Akin's gaffe in MO. If you don't see that, then you're a fool.
The fact is your "fact" is only opinion. You have made your opinion known and seem to insist we all throw Bevin under the bus, some of us don't agree.
Was it wise to attend the cock fight? probably not, did it disqualify him from the office? You think so, I don't, now let it go.
The NRA reminds me of the National Right To Life Committee with whom I’ve had a closer relationship over the years even having face to face meetings with top leaders.
They rightly emphasized their abortion issue focus and “incrementalism” and being “one issue” and “working with all kinds” to achieve their goals.
But that has played out as supporting corrupt candidates over the years here in Pennsylvania where guys end up in federal and state prisons for corruption.
They even told me under the table to support Pro-Abortion candidates who were Republicans including one who thought over 90 percent of abortions should be legal in the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. At least NRL listed him as “Pro Abortion” for that, but quietly said vote for him.
As early as 1994 I noticed that to help the GOP take control of Congress, NRL became a funnel for cash to a GOP national campaign committees that would end up supporting non Pro-Life candidates.
Reagan said abortion should be illegal from the moment of conception with execptions for rape, incest or life of the mother.
Now the NRL hangs its hat on “20 week bans” and abortion clinic regs that close down back alley types but keep Planned Parenthood in business.
(That’s what government regs do, keep the big guys in biz and take out the small time competitors).
I’ve discovered that the “ban” in TX has a loophole in it anyway nullifying the law if anyone feels it causes an “undue burden”.
GOA!!
They endorsed Harry Reid also.
