The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund announced Saturday it has endorsed Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky) for re-election in the May 20 Kentucky primary.
"Mitch McConnell is a true champion of our Second Amendment rights, leading the fight against President Obama, Harry Reid and Michael Bloomberg's anti-freedom agenda," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund.....

One does not need to be a PeTA wacko to feel that way. Animal fighting is cruel and useless.
His conduct has also destroyed his viability to run for other offices in the future, which is really a shame.
Well don’t whine when Mcconnell starts his jihad against Conservatives in the senate, votes for leftist Obama nominees and supports Reid’s spending.
If only he had aligned with Planned Parenthood and Log Cabin Republicans, but cockfighting killing those poor chickens, Oh the Humanity.......
It was stupid, and self-destructed his already struggling come-from-behind campaign. Any donations to him now are a waste of money, and if folks with more money than brains want to burn their money anyway, they are free to do so.
You want barbaric, go visit a planned parenthood clinic.
We slaughter millions of chickens every day, but you only see them in a shrink wrapped package or precooked by your local grocery.
Slaughtering chickens humanely for food is one thing, fighting them against each other with razor-sharp spurs is quite another. I really hope you can see the difference.
The NRA gets nothing more from me.
To those that have seen the NRA do this time and again, meanwhile sending all of its members special separate legislative fundraising beggings, I say this.
The NRA membershiop needs to get up and scream at the executive levels of the organization.
Today we just use a suction tool and suck babies out of a womb in pieces, when you get as upset about that, then maybe we can have a conversation.
Well thank you, thank you very much.
Yep, Grover Norquist, Muslim Brotherhood operative and agenda setter, lobbyist and overall heavy hitter for the muslim terrorist front group, C.A.I.R. That Grover Norquist......NRA board member.
No problem, I aim to please.
Dittos to those 3 groups. I left the NRA, over their Grover Norquist/board member treason, a few years back.
Have I, at any point in this discussion, indicated I’m pro-abortion? Your stuffing of words into my mouth is unsanitary.
And I feel sorry for you if you can see no difference between wringing a chicken’s neck as a means of slaughter and strapping razor-sharp spurs to a rooster’s feet and forcing him to fight to the death for your perverse pleasure.
You disgust me, and I’ll have no more of this conversation.
I disgust you but pulling babies from their mothers womb and jabbing them in the neck with scissors that doesn't disgust you.
Chicken fighting is very popular among Hispanics maybe he is going after that voting block.
I am simply pointing out that people getting all worked up over animals rather than people are of little interest to me nor are their stupid posts.
Regardless of this, or other endorsements, Bevin still loses by 30 points....moot point...
Like it or not, that is the way it is.
My five-year membership with the NRA, which expires in June (IIRC) will not be renewed ...
The NRA can go suck eggs ...
What good is the 2nd Amendment if the country goes bankrupt? (Well, to be truthful, the U.S. is already bankrupt ...
There is no way to pay off the accumulated debt and unfunded liabilities - MATHEMATICALLY IMPOSSIBLE ... And I am not even considering here the exposure that the 5 largest American banks have in derivatives and credit default swaps - that is a total of something like $220 TRILLION - yes, TRILLION)
The big time lobbyists, corporate money, the political machine, call it what you will controls organizations ranging from the NAACP to Planned Parenthood to make them subsidiaries of the Democrats and groups like the NRA and National Right To Life to make them subsidiaries of the Republicans.
Any “principles” that the groups may have originally stood for are subordinated to loyalty to the political machines of the major parties.
The NRA has very bad political taste and with this McConnell support I can clearly see the organization as a very narrow societal organization.
